I'm on the fence about 2 knifes I'd like to buy. The CRKT M16-04S or Kershaw Emerson CQC 4KXL. Does anyone have either of these knives and could give me some info and person feedback on them?

See Im not a fan of the flipper either but I like the tanto blade and the skeletonized handle. Also the CRKT uses better steel (AUS-8) then the Kershaw/Emerson (8cr14mov) but on the other hand the Kershaw/Emerson has that wave opener

I've abused my M16-14SF for the last 3 years in shipping/receiving. Structurally it's still solid, but the edge is pretty janky. I used to have a smaller M16 with a zytel(sp?) handle, but it cracked around the blade pivot.

there is no difference between those two steels that you will be able to tell unless your a fucking metallurgist. Heat treating is whats important and with those two companies you should get an ok heat treat.
And tanto point a shit. In everyday use you are slicing things not stabbing shit, a non serrated large belly is best for that task.
