Sorry, i haven't been on /k/ in a while.
In media you see people gently thumbing rounds in a winchester and after i bought one the illusion disappeared as i realized it takes a good shove to get them in there.

It's a pre-64 though so that's cool.

I have the same problem with my 65 transition gun.
i use a finger to hold the loading gate open part way, i find using >>33157902 method there's tendency for it to ejaculate cartridges onto my chest.

I'm doing that, the gate is doing a good job of holding the rounds in place while i shove the next one in.

Who knows if it'll loosen up.
