Don't get me wrong, I don't give a damn if others do it legally. I just don't like the idea of killing shit that I'm not going to eat. A lot of times I know that it's for conservation purposes, but I have to wonder how corrupt whatever the departments in charge of permit sales really are. People are easy to hunt because you know how they think more than any other animal. IMO the most difficult game is turkey. They are extremely crafty and difficult to sneak up on.

you fucking suck at hunting turkey then friend, i dont even try. I just hop on a stand and wait about 30 minutes. I used to just follow them around when i got bored.(they kept me atleast 50-75 yards away).

I got a chance to shoot a .375 H&H thanks to having rich prick friends.

It was fun but after about 5 rounds stopped being fun due to the recoil. All those SxS rifles are beautiful guns though.

Much of the hunting of larger game these days is to stop the incursion into populated areas and the damage it does.
Imagine the damage an elephant, let's say, can do to a field of crops you're depending on to feed your family for the year.
