I recently bought a 22lr 1911 (Walther Gold Cup) and wanted to customize it. I'm gonna share the results with you /k/
Tell me what you think.
Here is the original one.
I didn't like the plastic ergos so I've cut myself a piece of wood to match my hand.

Here is the result, nice wooden grip that fits my hand perfectly. Never underestimate the grips, it can make or break a gun.

Then I decided that I'd prefer a stainless steel look rather than this black finish. This is how 1911s are supposed to look imo.
I started polishing the slide.

The receiver aswell.
>>33157278
Everything is polished now, took me over 6 hours with sand paper...

After countless days, here is the final product, what do you guys think?
>>33157299
hahahholy shit,.
>>33157299
Other side aswell.
da fuq?
>22 walther """1911"""
I don't even care.

I love the A, anon. The perfect handcrafted and personalized touch really makes the grips pop. There are so few craftsmen left today, this is truly refreshing
FUGGG
is it actually a fixed barrel blowback?
I would've thought that it was just a downscaled 1911
Well thanks for the posts and I admire the try, but it looks like shit.

jesus christ the autism
why would you fuckin do that m8
If that isn't stainless steel that thing is going to pit EASY now.
If it turned out good to you and is functional that is all that matters.
I would've taken the time and used some better materials so the end result would be a lot nicer looking.

I've only seen two recent threads where he showed some guns disassembled.
What kind of stuff did he do?
>>33160729

How does your thumb reach the mag release?
Great project, OP.
You should now plate it with gold.
