do the firing sear even make contact if yes then you could make extra long reset sear out of old stainless knife blade of appropriate thickness. take in consideration of tapering to edge as you make your way to sear latch.

you could weld a bit bigger than tack on tip of sear and drop it into dirty motor oil right after then temper it by lighter tack it and let it air cool. then file and stone away.

So I got an MOE MVG for my MOE handguard because I liked the texture on the grip better than the M-LOK MVG.
