It wasn't. It simplified map design and greatly reduced gameplay diversity through camping. Noob tubes, which were intended to flush out campers, instead allowed heights of camping never seen before. One the campers had a few kills, it would snowball via killstreaks.

M16 /w silencer got like a 500% dmg boost because of a bug. Heartbeat counterd of campers. you could wall them all day.
It just was not fun to play that game against me, my clan loved it tho. I shit you not i would carry them evrey single game all the time.

I prefer the M16A4 with red dot or holographic, any camo. It was like the FAMAS but it hit harder. Accurate enough that a well-placed three-round burst was good enough to kill a sniper in small maps, like Skid Row, Karachi, Invasion, or Boneyard.

People I know didn't care for the M16A4, simply because they could unlock the ACR at the time. The ACR is great and all, but its accuracy was blunted by low power, even with stopping power.

For the record, I HATE Favela. It is the worst map in the game.

As long as you burst first the Tavor, you can get accurate groupings and have really high damage. If they get close, you can of course just go crazy with full auto.

The SCAR had the best stats in the game overall, with its only weakness being the ammo capacity. It had a slower rate of fire, but not that bad.

I got amazingly good at the game and could do well with any weapon really. I was able to react unbelievably fast, and adjusting aim while firing, getting headshots maybe half the time. That started as me just getting bored and trying to do all thee headshot challenges. I also learned where to shoot on walls and get headshots on people just spawning in another room. Eventually I got to the point where I used only the magnum and could get nukes. That took some different skills though. Sadly, I never recorded my gameplay and now no one believes I got nukes with just the magnum except one of my friends who saw me do it once.

I know I ran the AKM with akimbo 1887s, and I think the TAR-21 with the AA-12. I also had a loadout with the thermal M14 EBR for HC, and another with the Barret. I also had the Aug and maybe the SCAR in fall camo as well. And the UMP of course.
