This isn't the 90s anymore
>>
>>33127956
Why would you chose memeshok over HST?
>>
>>33129490

This. Also

>using ammo with a scary sounding name as self defense

Goody, more for them to throw at you in court when the dindu's family tries to sue.

christ gramps get with the times

>>33128048
For 9mm, this is the only correct answer.
>>
>>33127956
>What type of ammo do you carry?
not enough.....
>>
>>33129636
147 Ranger Ts are better IMO than the HST. The front of the bullet's face is designed a bit tougher with the little ridges or teeth, than the widemouth of the HST rounds which can start to crimp after multiple chamberings
>>
>>33129876
>multiple chamberings
Thats where you fucked up. Once a round has been chambered, if you clear it, it goes in your training bin. Setback is a thing.
>>
>>33129876
The problem with the Ranger T's over the HST is availability. HST is by far more available and cheaper if bought by 50rd box.
>>
>>33129896
>Setback
Never had any issues with 9mm especially Ranger Ts. I've done this probably 30+ times with a single round, and it still fired fine. Now .40/45 the rounds can recede into the shell after one or two chamberings.
>>33129923
Without a doubt. Muh Cops only bullshit on some websites. Winchester needs to quit being a giant faggot about the Ranger series
>>
>>33128007

+1 for 124
>>
>>33127956
115gr 9mm Gold Dots for cc, Critical Duty in .40 for HD.
>>
>>33129876

>widemouth of the HST rounds which can start to crimp after multiple chamberings

That isn't how pistol rounds work?
9mm headspaces on the case mouth, not the actual bullet
>>
>>33127956
pdx1 in .45acp
there's probably something better out there, but I don't really want to take the time to look for something else that I might not use

700gr Underwood
>>
>>33130223
The bullet itself makes contact either with the ramp or some part of the chamber because you will notice a slight crimp on HSTs after multiple chamberings
>>
124 9mm gold dot, 230 .45 gold dot.

They shoot well and those 50 rnd LE boxes are a good deal.

Just use SG ammo. Fuck paying $24 for 20 rounds in a store. Box of 50 HST is like $21 before shipping
>>

Damn, didn't realize I could get it that cheap, thanks for the info.

230gr .45, Carried hydrashoks through the 90's and switched to Speer gold dot when that came out. More reliable expansion from any testing I've seen at least.

It's cheaper, it's more proven, and actually achieves FBI minimum penetration requirements in all calibers and loads unlike HST's?

I can definitely go hotter on the .475, but my pistol is pretty fucking lightweight for its caliber, being a 4" barreled Super Redhawk conversion

I use a 240 grain Keith "style" semi wadcutter on 20 grains of 2400.
Where are you getting 250 grain Keith bullets?
I've looked but have only found 240 grain bevel base bullets.

Yall are wasting money on that +p ammo. Every time I buy a box, I take each one out and wack it with a hammer a couple times on top of the projectile to seat it better than factory. Instant pressure/velocity increase for free, quit being dupped

that's great and all, but there's been some studies by government to get to the bottom of kabooms and they found rechambering a round over and over again isn't really the best. So it isn't like this is fuddlore.
>>
>>33135065
Look at this guy trying to keep things a secret so he can get the cheaper deals.

The hammer method also reduces overall length of the cartridge slightly, making the bullets feed more reliably in semi autos
