What is the best **style** of combat knife?
I'm looking for something smallish (=<4" blade), and i figure a fixed blade is the obvious choice
My current edc is a buck nobleman, but i also have a schrade F14 that i bought for defense purposes
>inb4 just get a gun
I will in august when my wifes son turns 21 so he can buy it for me

Dagger. Or at least something like pic related.

Came here to post dagger

Dagger. A knife is a tool, but a dagger is a weapon. Get a fixed blade with a wide quillon and a pommel suitable for striking. Make sure the handle is round. Keep the blade razor sharp, especially at the point.
Just use a katana

Clip or drop point.
Anything else is autism

Pic is missing something.

Daggers arent autism. But you clearly are.

There's no universal best combat knife shape since there's no universal form of combat. Different forms of combat favor different things.

Which would be a dagger. Nobody is gonna make a big ass list for every minor variation of blade type. The stupid shit "custom" makers crank out would be too much.
Also FS is kinda shit

>FS is kinda shit
Basic knife bitch here, how so? It's a fairly long and pokey piece of metal. What more can you really ask for in a knife designed to poke deep into a fool's brain stem, heart, or lungs?

Katana is great if the target is unarmoured, you have a lot of room to swing it, and have a good grasp of using it.
But it is not a good all rounder, ideally you would have a katana, a dagger, and a heavy blunt object as your melee set, but that's not feasible. A dagger is for close quarters, and when you can't use any other weapon.
yo guys, what kind of knife would be good for outdoor stuff?

ESEE 4

survival knife like one john rambo uses
>serrated side of blade for sawing stuff
>hollow handle for all your shtfs
>compass on screw cap of handle
do you need more reasons???
gitit already then

IMO you should get a Gerber tanto. Yes it's a folding knife but it's ultra reliable.
I quite like the looks of a shorty F-S, I'd stab cunts all day with one

+1 esee 3, 4, 5 will all suffice.
Spear point with a serrated edge on the lower back side.
Can anyone recommend a decent/good carry dagger?
>>33134300
Its good for slipping in between ribs.

>t. faggot who knows nothing about knives
>>33131833
Never use an axe.
>Top heavy
>Unwieldy
>Requires a big wind up that telegraphs your swing
>Needs two handed grip
>Upper hand needs to be fairly high up on the handle, reducing range
>Someone can still step inside that range and be safe from the blade of the axe head

>when my wife's son turns 21 so he can buy it for me
The fuck? Care to elaborate?
The 21 part, not how you're a cuck

It's a meme you dip.
Or OP is a criminal with no friends and he needs to order his step son to buy guns for him.
anyone have any experience with the Ka-Bar Becker BK2?
if it's purely a knife for combat, dagger. No ifs ands or butts.
Since i don't carry a knife purely for combat, (or even combat as a fargone second use) I usually use a drop point.
