Why the fuck does every screw on a gun need loctite
Is this a scam?
>>33118358
Nope. They usually back off from the recoil. Don't use a permanent loctite though.
>>33118378
Yeah I know I use loctite 242 blue. How do you remove the removable ones? Simply unscrew?
>>33118358
Use blue on mounts and scope/optic screws. That's about it.

not every screw on a gun needs loctite
loctite essentially acts as a plastic washer to ensure the screw doesn't lose intermittent contact with the mating surfaces of the screw threads during shock or vibration by filling the minor distance in said surfaces when they occur.

Because recoil. That being said you should be perfectly fine if every fastener is torqued to spec but most manufacturers don't offer that info.
>>33118395
I'd recommend 243 on guns for the oil resistance
>>33118358
Use loctite blue on everything, screw it down tight. After tens of thousands of rounds on all kinds of guns, nothing has ever come lose.
you need loctite for your optics
Live dangerously.
Put anti-seize and loctite on the same screw.
>>33119002
This is a good idea. The screw gets stuck in a feedback loop where it can't decide if it should stay in place thanks to the loctite, or come out freely thanks to the anti-seize treatment. In the end, because it can't make a decision, it stays put.

Blue loctite goes on optics, red goes on vfg and suppressor threads.
Use these instead of the liquid, works better.
mix blue and red loctite plus superglue oh and fon't forget to use some pipe thread tape. fucking gun will never ever come apart unless you want it to.
