Given Canada's smaller recruiting pool dangerous operations that would be undertaken by SAD in the U.S. are probably undertaken by JTF2 and similar.

Canada also has a slightly less aggressive foreign policy that would require less of these shadow warriors.
So they might not have a direct equivalent in terms of capacity and indeed lump similar responsibilities to their closest intelligence agency and qualified special operatives.
Also I would reckon that it wouldn't be that hard for a proper tier 1 level Canadian vet from like JTF2 to actually get IN SAD. American and Canadian special forces have looong standing ties including the OSS, the CIA's WW2 predecessor.
