Imagine your home is like a trench, but with a roof. You won't be able to maneuver the weapon even without the bayonet.

when i was a kid i caused a mouse to have a heart attack while chasing it through our house. i cornered it with the bayonet. touched it with the tip, heard a squeak, then the little fucker fell over dead.
years later i questioned my sister who had witnessed it, to make sure that i hadn't imagined the whole thing, and she assured me that it actually happened.
really not sure what type of bayonet it was(had hung in my fathers tavern for many years), but was at least as long as the one in the photo.

Are you actually fucking implying that a shotgun is a poor choice for home defense? While everyone is different in preference/skill/situation a shotgun is by no means a bad home defense weapon, and may be the most ideal for some.
