Going to take the Illinois CCW class this weekend with my dad! Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm.
What can I expect? What is the turnaround time when I get my permit?
and general Illinois thread.
>we have the most dangerous city in the world in our state, lets make carrying a firearm only for the middle-upper to upper class
Half a G just to be able to protect myself?
Fuck Illinois.

I live in IL, an I just carry anyway.
Waiting for Trump to pass nation wide CCW so I can get an out of state permit so i don't have to give IL my money and time.

$10 FOID + $200 class + $150 fee to Ilinois = $360
I'm guessing it's one of the most expensive shall issue states
>>33100741
It's 300 dollars for the fee.

I'm not going to break the law and risk losing my right to bear arms and have a felony on my record for it. Plus everyone looks at you funny in this state for even mentioning self defense. Kind of odd the state with the most dangerous city at least in America is also one of the most against using a gun to defend one's self.

$300 for out of state, $150 for residents.
>>33100792
Oh, wow. I've been reading 300 dollars because the website defaults to the bottom of the information page. This is what I get for trusting a government designed web page.
i gotta move out of this fucking state
>>33100730
>shall not be infringed government reeee
No way this can backfire.
>>33100876
not even bad desu. There are much worse states.
>>33100678
Plus or minus 90 days after online application, a little faster if you pay to get your fingerprints done
$150 app fee sucks
>>33100717
You can find classes for less than 200 if you really try
>>33100777
No its not
>>33100791
Not supposed to ever mention you are carrying, you could be charged for that if its taken wrong
Senpai runs classes
>>33100678
llllNOlS
>>33100741
I'm actually taking my Wisconsin class tomorrow. 4 hour class, $50 class fee, ~$40 registration fee and I'm done.

>tfw once I graduate from university this spring and leave AZ to go back to CA I can't carry
At least I live in OC, with a Sheriff who basically shall issues if you give any answer other than "muh 2nd amendment". Or so I've heard from their webpages and other people. Even then I have to deal with going through classes and stupid fees AND the waiting period. But if I do get it...
>get to carry literally anywhere in CA even downtown LA
Mixed feelings
