what fucked place do you live in that a glock costs $700? My local fun store has new gen4 gocks for $549
>>
>>33090562

pretty much this. I'm not sure what is up with this new trend of hating glocks to seem cool. it's whatever. you shits can go buy your faggy single stack 45s, DA/SA, manual safety, heavy, over priced pistols all you want.

I'll keep buying/carrying/training with practical, purpose built tools like the glock 19
>>
>>33090759

seriously, why do people keep saying this? they're pretty cheap. not like, Hi-Point, Ruger, ATI cheap, but who wants to carry around that kind of junk anyway?
>>

It's one of the least expensive handguns rated for +P ammo
>Ruger
Ruger's okay, I used to own an LC9 and it had decent ergo's.

Honestly have had no experience with ATI, no comment.

I'm just claiming that an imported firearm is like an imported car, in a sense.

>not experience with ATI

>imported firearm like an imported car
I'm not really sure how. a glock is not a status symbol or an expensive pistol. it's your Mac Tools wrench set, or your Estwing hammer . nothing flashy about it, just a plain and simple thing that works, and works well.

I'd say the only "imported car" you could compare it too would be a toyota. basic, simple, practical, does what it's supposed to do.
>>
>>33090878
>>Hi-Point
>Garbage
I've owned a C9 before and honestly it can't be beat at the price point. It's not the creme-de-la-creme (Bulky as shit, basically unconcealable, single stack mags that are a pain to get out), but it can be had for cheap as fuck, comes with a lifetime warranty (unless they discontinued that since 2011) and can take lots of abuse. It's like the nugget of handguns (alongside TT33s, Makarovs, etc)
>>
>>33090136

if its a full-size, then all the negative comments apply. if it's a subcompact then it says it's the best option available for a slim person. Shield comes close but mag too small. XDS sucks and LCP sucks. Every other concealable gun weighs a thousand pounds or sucks or costs 2x as much.

That you have a 101 level pistol that does everything you need, but nothing you don't. I own a G19, but it was given to me by my grandmother. Was her service pistol when she worked for the state.

>Only pic I have of it
>>
>>33090901

I've never owned one. My only two experiences were with one my brother-in-law had, and my aunt's

>in-laws pistol
>on range
>BANG BANG *click*
>take finger out of trigger guard
>tilt pistol slightly
>goes off
>holy shit
>put on safety
>fires as I put on safety
>drop the mag, clear it, hand it back to him
>aunt's hi-point
>10lb trigger
>chokes every few rounds
>shit sights
>mag doesn't seat properly
>Hi-Point
>more like low point amiright

maybe things have changed since then, was about 12 years ago, maybe longer. not impressed. both guns were complete shit. I've owned a couple of no-name .380 pistols from the 70's that ran me about $50-$70 each, and they functioned perfectly.

It doesn't matter the board, 4chan in general is burdensomely contrarian. Over the last few years firearms have rapidly picked up in popularity, especially handguns. There are a lot of new gun owners out there buying Glocks, and that is the only queue 4chan needs to start hating them.

I own several Glocks. Some normal faggot Glocks. Some riced out barrel roll Glocks.
I'm not really big on them personally, but still I don't see the anti Glock sentiment. Glocks work. They do what they're supposed to do when I press a trigger. IMO theyre ugly and boring, but in a way that utilitarian approach deserves respect. It's like owning an old bronco. If you need it to do a job, it'll damn well do that job.
Granted, I get that OP's just humorously shitposting b8 to get fanboys upset. But you gotta realize some fags (most actually) are noguns. They'll read this shit and assume it to be fact.
>What does owning a Glock say about you?
The same shit that owning a sig, Springfield, STI, FHN, Browning, Steyr or anything else says about you. You're not a noguns. That's pretty much it. End of story.

Stock glock fanboys:

>I have an irrational belief that a gun's service record is what makes it reliable and not the the other way around. . I'm also easily swayed by marketing and groupthink. As a result, I ignore more modern designs that have better features for lower prices, all the while shitting on the people who try to modify their glocks to better suit their needs. I feel that, for whatever reason, if I happen to modify my gun too much, the reliability spell it was imbued with in the factory will wear off, and what was once the epitome of reliability, simplicity, and high value will become an overpriced, over complicated and unreliable paperweight

Modified glock owners:

>I realize there are striker-fired, poly guns out on the market today that outclass my choice out of the box, but none of them have the aftermarket support that my gun does. I understand that my choice of gun will result in me paying more for features found out-of-the box in more modern designs. but I also enjoy the fact that any company that sells aftermarket accessories, whether it be new sights, holsters, aftermarket triggers, etc. will invariably have one available for my gun.

Just because it works doesn't mean its good at what it does.

An AK works and works like a motherfucker, despite what the so called mud tests claim. That doesn't mean its anywhere near comparable to an AR of any type.

The weight, ergonomics, simplicity of design, ease of manufacturing, yes its actually easier to machine an AR to spec using CAD as opposed to building AKs by hand, the adaptability of the design, the ease of repair, hands down durability, and customizability all set them miles apart.

Its the same story with the Glock, compared to other modern pistol designs. Hell, tick for tack, its why Sig won the new pistol comp for the Army. Sig essentially brought the AR of the pistol world, out to play.

The CZ 75 would last for shit in a sandy or jungle environment. The amount of grit in the trigger and hammer after walking around in one day in a dusty environment was enough to change my mind. Also require alot of oil, at least my old CZ did, if you miss a day, rust nation will begin. I traded it for a Glock 21 to have some fun.

Tell me, what can a stock glock do that the p320 or the ppq can't? Both of these pistols either match the msrp of a gen 4 glock or are cheaper. Both of these guns have better out of the box sights, triggers, ergonomics, manual of arms, and better build quality than a gen 4 glock. The CZ p-10c that's coming this year will completely outclass the glock at a $100 lower msrp. The glock's main claim to fame, and this is even evident in this very thread, is that they're reliable or "just werk". All of the pistols I've named will "werk" just as well as the glock, while beating it in most other categories.

>>33096002
I'll define the glock paradigm before I give some examples. In this case, the paradigm is an out of the box combat pistol, with the main factors of the paradigm being reliability, followed by other things like ergonomics, trigger, etc. As I mentioned before, almost every modern polymer striker pistol will be very reliable. The glock holds its own in this department, but gets outmatched by its competitors in the auxiliary factors. As for examples of superior and cheaper, the most extreme case I can think of are the caniks, but there's also the m&p, the cz p10c that's coming out soon or the p07/09 if you like da/sa, the p320, or the ppq. Hell, EAA is worth a mention too. Again, I'm not saying the glock is a bad gun by any means; it is a good, reliable design, and can close the gaps between it and its competition through its extensive aftermarket, but the point I was trying to make was that there are better stock options.

Funny how literally 99.999% of Glock failures ALWAYS involve larger caliber Glocks with hot/overpressurized handloads or shitty factory ammo, and if not that aftermarket parts/barrels.

Anyone here show me **(FIVE) 5 (FIVE)** indisputably documented failures of a 9mm stock Glock brand Glock, excluding Google image results, and maybe I'll finally shut up about it. If Glocks are as shitty as you claim to be it should be effortless to gather this information.

BTW when DOTR comes I'll support euthanasia for autism. Autspergtards would be a fine way for good Americans to relieve stress by torturing them while having pleasant social gatherings.

In the Middle Ages it was common sport to tether an animal and beat it to death. That's cruel to do to an innocent creature but completely reasonable to perform on autspergtards. Their screams could be recorded for future amusement.
