I live in the socialist shithole that is Chicago, so I'd start making zip guns and soup can grenades while I have archery gear that I'll use for the civil war period. My gf has a firepit, so I'll take the spent logs and use that to make gun powder with saltpeter and sulfur. Then I'll find steel pipes for barrels, ball bearings, and use a butane jet lighter for ignition. The basic idea is to construct a crude hand canon with paper cartridges so ramrods aren't required. The issue is finding a strong enough pipe to handle the psi, the slow duration between discharge and reload, inaccuracy, and getting out of the city without getting arrested.

If I lived in a crime-ridden area, I would expect an uptick in violent crime. As a preventative measure, I would consider working up a target list of groups likely to affect my life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Actions after the threats are verified would be tricky. Arson, chemical attacks, disappearances and general terror are of course off the table. I don't know what I could do since realtors can't red-line neighborhoods to keep out degenerates and ne'er-do-wells. Good question, Anon! You will need the following supplies:
8x 5 gallon buckets (this is an average, you'll need more for larger targets.)
1x Watermelon
5x gallons of lye (drain cleaner solutions may be substituted.)
3x gallons of bleach
1x 12 gauge shotgun & shell
OR
1x 4lbs hammer and a hard work surface
1x Sleeping bag, sourced from the Salvation Army.
1x shovel.

Step #1: After you've committed the deed, place the body in the sleeping bag, and then in your trunk. Make sure it's been stripped of all valuables. DO NOT keep the clothes! Put them in a dumpster or a donation bin just prior to whenever these receptacles get emptied. Credit cards get burned or shredded, ditto for driver's license, etc.

Step #2: Break into a house. You'll have to look for guides on doing this elsewhere. It's okay if you're caught for breaking in, as long as they don't know what you did in there.

Step #3: Once you're in, go to the garage. Dismember the body carefully, filling each bucket up to about 70%. Finger tips should be flayed for separate disposal, preferably via burning. Leave one bucket for the head.

Step #4: Once you've filled all the buckets, empty an equal amount of lye into each one.

Step #5: Bleach the concrete floor of the garage thoroughly. Really work at it. Bring a brush to scrub it, potentially. Concrete is porous, so continue at this until you have used all of your bleach. Open a window when you're done: it's both your exit and it'll let the fumes escape.

Step #6: Either go innawoods, stuff the head inside the watermelon and rinse it's mouth out with a shotgun or crack each tooth individually, it doesn't matter. Stuff the resulting mush into your last drum and dump the rest of the lye.

Step #7: Put the sleeping bag in a donation bin, or give it directly to a homeless person.

Step #8: Go for a drive at night on whatever counts for backcountry roads where you live. Making sure not to stay on the same road for too long, and to space each bucket at least 1/2 mile apart, bury a bucket at least 4 feet deep and 20ft off to the side of the road. Make sure you're alternating which side of the road you're on, that'll help throw them off.

Going off of what happened in Canada, most people will just store them under the floor boards or in the attic. My understanding is that this is what happened in Australia as well.

If the government is so brazen as to break the 2nd Amendment, what makes you think any of the others are safe? The 4th? The 5th? How do you know they won't take your house apart, dig up your yard, shoot your dog, and then bill you for the cost of doing it?

If the state starts coming after guns, that's a sign that things are gonna start going downhill real fast, and you'd better start fighting while you're still on the high ground.

Because the manpower required to do such a thing on a country-wide level makes it simply impossible. Guns are so prevalent that they'd have to search every single house in America, which in the end would still be ineffective as the scale of the searches would turn it into a shell game where guns are simply shuffled around to relatives after they've already been searched.

Like I said, forcing guns underground is already a win for them. They don't care about guns or "gun deaths", they care about stamping out parts of society that don't suckle the federal tit. Forcing people underground slowly kills off the culture in the same way that gun culture in the UK and Australia has been essentially killed. Even millions of guns hidden in barns and attics aren't the concern of the government, because if it isn't out being shot on the reg and taken care of, chances are they will be forgotten and rust away into nothing.

Every single attempt in Canada to institute new gun regulations has ended up a massive misappropriation of government money- and Canada has fewer guns owners and guns. I know multiple people that never registered their long guns in the 90s, and at least a couple people that have handguns stashed away because they were lost in the mountain of paperwork when the country transitioned from the FAC to PAL system.

You're missing the point. The Bill of Rights are signposts along the road to tyranny. When they start getting mowed down, that probably means the intrusions on our liberty will only continue. The UK is now a virtual surveillance state, with arbitrary detention and a plethora of other examples of a government run amok. Australia has its own absurdities.

But neither of those countries is the situation nearly as bad, because they did not ever truly specify gun ownership as a right, so it was an easy thing to abolish. If the 2nd Amendment goes in the US, it will be a sign that the government no longer feels itself bound by the Constitution, and will break every restraint upon it in service of the elite. Hence we must draw the line there, while we still retain the full ability to resist further intrusions.
