Does /k/ own air guns? BB guns?
>>33087889
I have an AR15 and other fire arms. But because I live in the city, I don't have any means to shoot often.
With BB and pellet guns, I can practice marksmanship in my back yard. I am very safe of course and use a catch and plywood as a backup.
>>33087889
Oh ya, another to talk about. Price.
These guns are cheap, and cheap to shoot. I've managed to improve my skill at the range practicing with the crosmen 1377.

A bunch of Gamo, Beeman and Benjamin pellet rifles. Plus a Red Ryder I use to take potshots at neighborhood cats.
I have a .177 FX Cyclone with a Webley stock. Looks like pic related.
my Air Arms S200.

>These guns are cheap
lolno
Well, shitty guns are. But if you're looking to shoot FT/HFT, you're looking at 700+ for a comp level springer, about $1200 with decent glass.
Not to mention high end, FT pcp rifles, plus air tanks and whatnot to keep them running.
That being said, pellets are indeed cheap, and you can shoot all day.
Also - air rifles are a superior choice for pest control, because they can be safely used in places normal guns cannot.
Here's a couple of mine:
AA s400f classic .177 with a Hawke Sidewinder 6-24x56 SF IR 20x 1/2 mil dot
AA TX200HC .22 with a Hawke Sidewinder 10x42 SF IR 1/2 mil dot

What is the most powerful pump pellet gun.
I've got a ruger airhawk I've killed three rabbits and a dozen or so squirrels with back when I had a huge garden
Really should break it back out one day, airguns are fun as fuck to just chill, have a beer and shoot targets with
>>33087889
I have a chinese be and a red ryder bb gun too.
I normally use the 22cal whisper fusion pro. It launches 14.3g pellets at about 900fps on the dot. I use overweight 10.5g pellets to do the same on the 1300fps 177 gun.
I love the cheap rimfire spinner targets, plink with the gf or little cousins etc quite a bit.

>I have a chinese be
b3
only pic i have of the red ryder
I used a $100 one for hunting rats and was shocked by how quickly the projectile dropped. I basically had to zero my optic at the exact range I was shooting from, and then if a rat appeared at a range closer than that, I had no chance of hitting him
if I wasn't doing it in the city limits I would have just used .22. and that's really the whole point to airguns it seems. only helpful when you need a pest control gun within city limits, or when you don't want a gun's report to scare livestock
>>33092686
so what velocity was your gun?
But yeah, airguns will have a lot more arc for reasons, both because of certain pellets having the worst ballistic coefficient possible like wadcutters, and just lower speed relative to rifles.

I got a Red Ryder and a replica SAA.
im saving up for a rossi air rifle
is it worth is ?
anyone own one ?
it's 600 huedollars
it's the synthetic stock one
>>33092659
Is that better then a crossmen 760?
who here like to shoot at moving vehicles?
not saying i do.
I have a Hämmerli AirMagnum 850. It's fun to shoot once in a while. I don't have much money so shooting an air rifle is a cheap alternative.

Springies are known to lose power if the spring is kept tensed up for long periods.
i've got a pumpmaster 760, no pellet loader, but i've been thinking about getting something new. Thoughts?
>>33088481
quit killing things for no reason!
>>33096698
I don't think a Red Ryder is going to kill anything except maybe a tiny bird. Even then only at really close range.
>>33097081
>>33096698
I have yet to kill anything with my Daisy Buck.
I have shot birds with it, they just freak out and fly away.
>>33090918
He's just talking about practicing fundamentals at like 15ish yards, you pansy git.
>>33087889
I airsoft but I would never admit it on /k/
>>33087889
I was thinking of getting one back when I lived in a boonies and I could shoot cans in my backyard without disturbing neighbors.
But I ended up going to university in the city
ya
>>33092686
That depends on a number of factors. My .22 Tx200hc is zeroed at 25m, and has a 4 mil dot holdover at 50m. With a .22 range estimation, and knowing your holdovers is crucial if you want to hit anything.

Infinitely, it's seconds away from launching the next one at 500-600fps.
Easy to crank too. I've had pumps, and consider them shit because so much work for a single shot.
It does this with crosman destroyers in water, kills stuff dead.
>>33098570
walther makes some good stuff. Recentley shot thier GSP Expert in .22, smooth as butter.
>>33098570
also this is the only real airgun in this thread
everything else is toys
>>33087931
Hey nutn
hey guys
I'm looking for an air or spring pellet gun for shooting targets in my suburban backyard and woods.
Recommendations for $100-$160?

Crosman 1377 (1322 if you want to hunt small pests too)
Plenty of aftermarket mods for it
For springers I always liked the Gamo rifles. You can get the 177 all over for less then 150. Use lead pellets, don't believe the hype about higher FPS with alloy what you gain in speed you lose in accuracy. I have moved up to PCP hand pump guns and love the Benjamin Maximus. I own both .22 and .177 and they shoot at least 30 rounds per pump at higher FPS and more accurate then any springers and zero recoil so you can use regular scopes instead of the expensive springer scopes. I got my first one in a combo pack with the pump, pellets, targets, and a cheapo pair of glasses for 315.00

Hammerli 850 .22 and Unmarex HK USP .177 masterrace coming through
Got this little thing at a chain store called Jula. It's nice for practicing with a scope.
I have a Gamo Big Cat 1250 that I got for hunting small game. I've taken dozens of squirrels, a dozen or so coons, few hundred pest birds, 3 coyote. Accurate and does its job well.
