The AK parts are different than standard NVA stuff as well. East Germans had dark brown bakelite furniture (Usually pistol grip, butt stock, lower handguard- upper could be left as wood) and primarily steel mags.
But you will see variations where handguards are all wood, all bakelite, etc. They were trying to standardize everything during the 1980s but it was going to take time.

No, thats actually possible. There were a few UTV parts issued for testing, but the most was stored and got sold/stolen by teenagers after the NVA was disbanded. NVA-Reenactment is pretty-nonexistent here, most people who own this stuff are collectors like me or veterans. I wears the stuff only one time a year, wich is exactly today, since it's Karneval here and it's a nice costume for one day.

I recently got an deactivatedrussian AK(tula 1975), before the restrictions on that stuff were tightened and got the east german furniture exept for the buttstock(the old was from the yugoslav wars, had holes as killcount in it and everything, the metal was painted neon green when I got the gun.) The brown part is pvc, as far as I know, and just the lower handguard is bakelite. Do have any information to which extent russian guns were used by the NVA?

Overall some stuff produced in Warsaw Pact nations ended up being used by others. Since they were all supposed to be cooperating if one nation had a shortage/demand of something other members may have been able to supply them with it.
Like a lot of tanks for them were made in Poland and then sent to other WarPac members (Or to the Arabs).
As for Soviet guns, I don't have any specifics but I'm sure a lot of them ended up in their allies' arsenals. Being that the Soviets would make stuff for everyone early on and then over time license them out, which is where you end up with nation-specific variants of guns.
