Are magazine disconnects really that bad? I mean, the idea of being able to disable your gun by dropping the mag in case a criminal wrestles the gun away from you sounds nice, but everyone I talk to about them disagrees.
you've still got one in the chamber, and any time used dropping the mag is time batter spent shooting.

The only good I've seen come out of a mag disconnect is it keeps the hammer from falling on my 41 when I'm disassembling it. In the Hi power especially (where I'm sure is the thread you just came from) it makes the trigger heavier and grittier, although contrary to what >>33082392 said, it is possible to do correctly and not fuck up the trigger. The 41 is an example
