The U.N wasn't established until after WW2 so I have no idea what you mean by that... Furthermore, Canada was a leader in U.N peacekeeping up until Stephen Harper took office and intentionally distances Canada from the U.N. He shifted Canada from a "mediating nation" that is common for countries that are just barely large enough GDP wise to be relevant, to that of a "stalwart interventionist", more typical of a world leader such as the U.S, Russia, Britain or China.

The point being that the shift away from the U.N was intentional, not due to Canada having a shitty military.

I am a reservist but I have spent the last 3 years working with 1, 2, and 3 RCR, 2RCHA, and RCDs on and off, and they are not all bad.
Most of the retards are at the Jr Ranks and they don't get promoted, or at least not too soon. They know the job and have the man power to get it done, despite the manning issues Canada wide. I have learned a lot from them.
I did encounter the "Fucking reservist" attitude early in the game, but we all got past it, plus I am a Sgt so I can tell most shitheads to shut the fuck up and carry on.
