Have you ever had issues transfering a firearm through the airports?
What's the process like? Should I call ahead to let the front fesk know or something, do they freak out that you're carrying a gun? Do they handle your firearm like shit with the rest of the luggage? Some personal insight would be appreciated.

Unloaded (duh), in a locked container inside your checked luggage, use a NON-TSA lock (per federal law). Ask for a firearm declaration form when you go to check your luggage. Fill out form, Southwest didn't even check if the gun was loaded, just made sure it was in a locked container. That's it. Wayyyy easier than people think.

protip: don't ccw into the actual fucking airport. Yes, TSA will get freaked out. Unload gun, put in locked case before you go to the airport.

Looks really nice bro! I did something similar with a 'Vaultz' CD case. It's a cheap case, but looks nice from a distance..


I cut out the 'cd holders' and found some pretty thick foam, then traced the gun and cut out... unfortunately i'm at work so no pic of the finished product
