I'm 6'0 and 185 and have done it. You just need a holster with some cant or a good holster like the incog for appendix carry. The benefit is they are slim as fuck, you just really need to hide the length of the grip.

That being said, full size 1911s are pretty poor choices for carry guns in my unimportant opinion.

Use aliengear holster set to ride as high as possible, I put the shortest spacers on the left side of the kydex and the largest on the right to push the grip into my body. I carry on a steel lined gun belt at the 4-5 o clock position.

Carrying a 1911 is dumb and you should carry anything else because it would be better.

I bought a makarov to carry and havent bought a holster yet, jej.

Not that anon, but that's it. Ever carried a 1911 all day? By the end of it your hip is killing you. and if you slap in a 10+ round mag, may as well OC because you'll print like you are anyway. And the safety is not really one you just flip off easily (at least not a stock one). I carry mine while hog hunting just to get it out of the safe every few weeks, but at the end of the day I remember why I carry lighter guns that hold more rounds.

Guys, I'm torn between a new carry pistol. I'm between the FNS9C or a Sig P320 (can't decide between carry or compact). Either way the Sig is a bigger gun, but feels a bit better in my hand. But, I'm a skinny guy and don't know which will print worse either.

This is how people typically carry stuff:
guns always go on the belt
fixed blades probably on the belt
if the keys have a carbiner then they go on the belt / belt loop, otherwise they go in a pocket
flashlight clips to pocket or belt
folding knife clips to right pocket
phone probably right pocket
wallet probably back right pocket
misc shit goes in the left pocket, which is either empty or only has keys

you can legit carry all that shit with regular jeans and a belt

And a lot of my friends who don't do
edc-nerd stuff don't actually carry their keys 24/7 because they have huge keyring chains fulla shit, they leave them by the door or on their desks
