What are your opinions/preferences on this
>>
I always have found bullpup rifles to be fascinating, even if the majority of them are very poorly executed

They both have their merits but I like a bullpup rifle because they're different.

That said I only own conventional rifles because they aren't as cost prohibitive

This is my truck gun. If your only argument is "muh dying for Israel" then you're using a logical fallacy you're a flyover bubba.
>>
>>33063737
I'm in between, but a tar-21 like that is gorgeous

>using flyover as a insult here
Floridafag here, feels good to have a amazing combo of weather, food, hunting, fishing, innawoods/innaswamp land, and gun laws

Daily reminder that if you live in the county you'll never find yourself in a situation to use your carry gun. It's people like me who live in the city that will ever have to trust their life to their EDC.
>>
>>33063931
It's a good thing I also live less than 30 minutes outside Gainesville that I stilll need to travel to for school/work. I get to live in a quiet neighborhood and still get to deal with other shitty college students
>>
>>33063702

Conventional wins right now, but I can imagine some future platform similar to the Polish FB MSBS that combines both and can be easily interchanged that could eventually supplant the AR-15 as the dominant lego-style rifle.
>>
>>33063888
Florida isn't a flyover shithold though

Tavor is garbage, bullpup is garbage. But, in all seriousness, after owning an AUG and Tavor I understand why they're popular for folks clearing houses, etc. I shoot targets in a field like a redneck so they don't do much for me.

>TAR-21
my argument isn't that IWI is israeli because they're not; they're no more israeli than FN is belgian or Glock is Austrian

My argument is that they're a stupid company with absolutely fucking retarded policies. I was sent a lefty X95 on accident and accepted it with the knowledge that they send you lefty bolts if you send them a righti.
Little did I know they changed their policy so you can no longer just send in the bolt, but you have to send them the whole fucking rifle because they think you're too stupid to pull the fucking bolt out and put a new one in and switch the gasketed dust cover.
So not only was I left with a rifle for a different hand, but unless you want to pay $899 for a fucking entire barrel/bolt assembly, a rifle I could not get a spare BCG for.
Oh and if you want your rifle serviced, turnaround times are 5-6 weeks. Unless you want to pay an "IWI certified gunsmith" to do it.

Fuck you IWI.
Don't treat your customers like they're retarded
You're the reason I bought two FS2000's.
>>
>>33063702
With modern computers, material science, and powder production you can shoot 1 MOA at 300 yards out of an 8" barrel all day no problem. A bullpup is the answer to a problem that does not exist.
-except-
The requirement to have a 16" barrel to stay Title I is a pretty big thing, so a bullpup is nice in that regard.

A bullpup can give you a more compact package, but so far most manufacturers overcomplicate and end up with shitty and/or unnecessarily heavy guns.
>>33063737
The SAR is not a bad gun.
>>33064612
Fuck DeserTech. They promised a 7.62x39 version and have since cancelled it, but kept memeout. Memeout is an attempt at duplicating 7.62x39 reliably in an AR-15, so why not keep actual 7.62x39 when you're making a firearm from the ground up?
>>33067018
X95 is one of those overcomplicated shit rifles, sorry to say. Example: People wanted AR-15 ergos in a bullpup, which adds unnecessary complication the gun.
Now you have a piece of shit that has no less than three more points of contact on the barrel over the SAR with no real advantage.
The SAR mag release wasn't even hard. You just rock your hand back.
>>
>>33067516
It wasn't even that; I really liked the x95 despite its accuracy issues because it's the shortest 16in 5.56 I could get as a truck gun. I liked everything about it actually.

But fucking your customers out of servicing their own rifles makes me really sore. Literally no one else does that. I can get a bolt for my SCAR, FS2000, RFB, and MPX at the drop of a hat, but IWI claims they can't sell bolts because of "headspacing issues" when the rifle is user-serviced?

Seriously, look it up. You CANNOT buy Tavor bolts anywhere because they will SUE YOU. And you have to pay $110 dollars to get it converted L to R or vice versa.

Want an extra bolt just because? Can't buy it.

I don't want to play the (((IWI))) card, but when literally every other company has zero problems selling you a bolt and you refuse to sell them in anything other than a (((barreled package))), you're fucking your customers

Nigga, wat? The SAR OAL is so short that becomes under 26" merely by wearing down the buttpad.
>>

>You CANNOT buy Tavor bolts anywhere because they will SUE YOU. And you have to pay $110 dollars to get it converted L to R or vice versa.
Yeah, but when you pay to get it converted they're supposed to include the old bolt. I've talked to a rep on this.

I can see my self owning a bullpub, but there aren't that many I would consider cool enough to own if they happened to be conventional. If that makes sense.

And I don't like big plastic monsters, but I do like sci-fi stuff.
>>
Im much much better at swapping mags on a standard rifle, so for me standard is best.
>>
>>33067729
which is okay, but at that point, just sell me the fucking bolt and I'll shell out $10 for headspacing gauges
I don't know why people think it's acceptable for a company to force you to send your rifle off for 6 weeks for a job that can be done in 15 minutes in a basement with a screwdriver.

Or why your manufacturing QC is so bad that bolts don't headspace uniformly.

literally no other company does this.

Hey guys, let's design a rifle aesthetics first then figure out what we can squash inside!

Can't fit adjustable gas or a forward assist? Who cares if it's a desert rifle! Look how nifty!

Balance? Only a fashy goy would care about such things!

Now quick, ring up Youtube's biggest "celebrities" and give them vacations and deep (((discounts))) to sing it's praises!
