Sup, milsurp people. I asked this in another thread and was told to come here. Where do people buy inert ordnance? I've seen reenactors with inert grenades, and I've seen people post collections of inert artillery shells here and on other sites. I googled and the only online stores that don't look sketchy as fuck are in Europe. I would assume that's because people don't want to send inert landmines and spent LAW tubes through the mail for fear of having them confiscated or getting their dog shot over something completely legal because the ATF don't play by their own rules. Where can I score inert ordnance for my milsurp collection? Are there brick and mortar stores specializing in this that I can drive to? Is this something you see a lot at gun shows? Should I go to World War II reenactments with a pocket full of cash and offer guys obscene amounts of money to part with their reenacting supplies? Ebay? The patch is for the Kaitsepolitsei (lit. "Defense police"), essentially the Estonian FBI. They're a very secretive bunch, so the only known photographs of the insignia in wear are of associated SOF dudes at a training exercise.

Lahingukool (lit. "Battle school") is a military school that trains senior NCOs of all branches. Their identifying tape usually goes over the left pocket, but I've seen limited evidence of guys wearing it on the right side in lieu of a name tape.

I noticed the patch was velcro and was missing the "Politsei" so I figured it was some sort of SWAT thing, that's very neat.
I imagine the patches are hard to find then?

I figured Lahingukool was a name, there was one missing from my parka and I put it over the ghost to fill it in.
The set is pretty damn warm, I was surprised the trousers' liner was sewed in. I'm guessing a later model, it is dated 2006 after all.

Formally introduced in early 2006 (though early versions of the design existed since 2002 and were sparingly issued on a trial basis), the final style TTsKO winter uniform did away with the Soviet-derived elements in favor of a sleeker, more Western look. While the jackets continued to have removable padding, the trousers had it permanently attached for some bizarre reason. Maybe they thought nobody in their right mind would ever wear winter pants without the liner? Maybe they were concerned about dumbass conscripts losing the liner? Your guess is as good as mine.

Well, initially, it was just designed to be a windproof suit. From what I remember, "gorka" translates to something along the lines of "hill" so a gorka suit is "mountain suit"

In the afghan mountains, the original canvas gorka (Or now, gorka-1) tan worked quite well. I haven't a clue why they only used patches of camo fabric. Now, there are plenty of different versions, and the gorka-5 is usually completely made of camo fabric.
