This is something I have always found kind of funny. People replace every peace of a Glock until its a hollow shell of what came in that box from Austria. I don't see any issues with changing sights, but replacing all OEM parts with aftermarkets is retarded.
>>
>>33061299
dubs confirm retardation. problem is, people need to replace OEM parts for them to work right, but glock apologists will deny.

no other company has the same kind of fudd nu-gun faggot following that repeats it unironically while simultaneously dumping hundreds of dollars of mods into their "perfect" guns to make them better

That seems like a pretty stupid reason to be assmad over Glock. You could at least mention the shitty grip angle or ergos, but you instead choose to get pissy at a marketing decision that was made long before its aftermarket evolved to what it is today. Does HK make you upset with their "No Compromise" line, despite all HK handguns having a lower standard magazine capacity than their competitors?

I've yet to find another gun that gets hated as much as a Glock.

And for no reason other than the fact people hate it because of people that like it.

And at no fault of the gun.

Glock is the BMW of the gun world.

It all makes sense now.

But seriously, if you hate a gun because of other people you're probably autistic.

Yeah this perhaps is a bad analogy. Most people compare Glock to Honda Civic for muh reliability. Personally, I've been shooting pistols for years and the funny thing is.. I've owned more Glocks than any other brand of hand gun, and I have had the most problems from Glocks, way more than any other. I can't even mention this to people who carry Glock, they dismiss it right away, every time, always.
>>
>>33062594
>retart

Ironic.

>>33062596
I was speaking in terms of how it's hated because of other people , much like BMW's are hated because of the drivers/owners.

I don't have any ounce of my personality invested in glocks, it sucks yours didn't work, mine have been fine, but I don't carry them.
>>
>>33062483
Let me explain, cunt. Modularity gives you the option to replace parts that you may consider "inferior". I have had HK, Sig, and FN guns as well, and if I needed/wanted something on them replaced, their aftermarket and ability to accept those parts paled in comparison to the glock. That's not to say glocks are better guns, but no one is going to say they wouldn't rather have glocks market for non OEM parts when compare to other handguns.
>>
>>33061260
Yes the Glock platform is famously modifiable. Just like the AR15 platform that this shit board jacks off to.

I hated Glocks until I learned how to shoot. 1911s, CZs, and pistols with good triggers are immensely forgiving of sloppy marksmanship/trigger control.

Once I could hit with the Glock... the benefits of a lightweight, accurate, CHEAP, easy to maintain pistol became obvious.

Glocks are for poor people, or people who shoot a lot. No other gun is so purely focuses on value and performance like the Glock.

I will admit people who try to turn Glocks into "custom" pistols remind me of high school kids slamming junk onto their Honda Civics.

Drops it on the ground.

Half the class wonders what the fuck hes doing, the other half are visibly disturbed, a few actually shuddering when it hit the ground. not out of fear, mind you.

Guess which ones shot glocks, and which ones shot 1911's.

not to mention walther makes pistols for the same price. my p99as was the same as a g19 and the quality is far better

When I was looking to purchase my first handgun I tried a bunch at the range. Now these would have been beaten up range mules and all but the Sig 229, the M&P I forget the name of, FNX 9mm, never had any trouble. Glock stovepipped every other shot. It was probably just because of being a range mule but if not then it meant how I held every other gun or limp wristed them didn't cause a problem but it did for the glock.

It clearly works for a lot of people but it seems clear that the glock has a big issue with limp wristing that no other handgun comparable does. "That's the fault of the user" - if these users never experience the problem with any other gun but do with glocks, then the glock is at fault.

Yeah I'm saying we confuse 'new glock' with the used glocks in the 300s range.

I can dig that if it's an CCW or gun you're looking to trust your life to. I like a sense of history and continuity, even as simple as "Kristof the podunk cop had it and never shot anyone with it". I like my 226 but if I were doing it over I'd get (besides a 229 for smaller size) a used one for cheaper if I could find it.

Anyone could slam together something like that in less than 10 minutes.... so it's really not custom at all. Just mass produced excellence.

An actual "custom" gun should be a 2011 or 1911 where actual expert fitting and real gunsmith work is REQUIRED to increase performance and reliability.

>>33074799

Glocks are cheap compared to Sigs, HKs, etc. They are cheap for adults with real jobs.

Factoring cost of ownership, ie, maintenance, support equipment, and money spent per reliable round fired... Glocks are a fantastic deal.

I will admit there Glocks do require a bit more user skill to get maximum value out of... people with limp wrists and low skills would definitely benefit from shooting a steel framed pistol with a good trigger like a BHP, CZ-75, 1911 etc... no denying that.

I assume the point is the very rough machining.
>>

If you have had more Glocks than any other hand gun, wouldn't having more problems with said Glocks be logical?

are you fucking dense on purpose?

Talon Grips don't leave a mess. I just put some on my Px4, it took about 15 minutes. I don't know how you could mess them up. It is without a doubt one of the best upgrades you can give to a handgun that doesn't have rubber grips as an option already.
>>
>>33075016
that doesnt really mean anything as that really doesnt effect performance.

on another note that machining runs in the direction of the movement further adding to the point that it will not effect performance.

i will reiterate again that he is a moron.
>>
>>33062596

What were your problems? I hated Glocks, but went full circle and decided Glocks are the best value by far after 10 years.

Tried every major brand and type of pistol... I can see why the Glock is the best selling pistol in America still. Basically the iPhone of the gun world: most support and adoption.
>>

An aftermarket targeting the most commonly found firearm in North America. Wow, there must be something wrong with it, couldn't be that some people are trying to make some money off of the special snowflakes out there. I bet AR15's are inferior as well following your logic, we should trash those to!

The instructions very clearly state not to heat the grips up that much. If your climate is too hot for them, bummer.

If I lived somewhere where there was no night, then complained that my flashlight didn't do anything, am I the idiot or is the flashlight company the idiot?
>>
>>33075235

What ammo?

Also, did you have a Gen 4? Early Gen 4 definitely had issues. I bought my first (3) Gen 4 Glocks this year, 2017, like a smart person haha

same here. I went through several different 19s and 17s, like the op said "fanboys tell me I'm dropping calls because I'm holding my iPhone wrong"
>>
>>33075358

Aside from Fiochhi those are all famously bad ammo, and from the sounds of it you got one of the Gen 4 pistols that had ejector issues. The Gen 4 launch was as predicted, spotty.

I have had nothing but good luck with Blazer Brass and PMC with my newest production Gen 4s.

Sucks that yours was a lemon

it would be unsafe if you were a dumb faggot and ND into yourself.

there are plenty of videos of people dusting themselves on youtube using a traditional carry.

not being stupid is a factor in not shooting yourself.
>>
>>33077882
I'm going to point out why you are wrong. Ready?

With appendix carry you break one of the 4 rules intentionally.

With traditional carry you only break that rule if you fuck up.
>>
>>33077875
And I've had it happen with a berreta and a sig p320 (granted, they were rentals that the range was too lazy to clean)
>>
>>33062368
not that guy, but how else are you going to carry a firearm concealed where it isnt pointed at a part of your body? i agree with you that appendix is more dangerous, but id be more worried about draw and reholster than anything
>>

it's a common issues for glocks

>>
>>33077894
the gun will not go off unless you pull the trigger

as long as you dont do this, you will be fine.

If you want to be a safety autist dont do it. I come from a place where we used to point our weapons at each other all the time and used blanks to conduct training, same thing applies there, as long as you arent fucking stupid you wont get hurt even if you are violating MUH RULES.
>>
>>33077898
what is "traditional carry"
>>
>>33077912
Common issue for all semi-autos.

Semi-autos BTFU, revolver master race.

(also, post stats or STFU)

>>
>>33077918
>following the four rules of gun safety is autistic
>discarding them when you feel like pointing a gun at your femoral artery and balls is not
hey I noticed that you're wrong

>>33077930
good question. let's say 3:00
>>
>>33077949
3:00 the gun is pointed at your outer thigh
>>
>>33077960
There aren't any arteries there.
>>
>>33077960
It should not be, you must not be using properly fitted equipment. Also, anyone can plainly see that someone with a sloppy 3:00 or 4:00 carry at most might sweep the surface of their ass cheek, compared to intentionally pointing a gun directly at your femoral artery and balls, a shot to either of those being a 99% chance to win a trip to the morge
>>
>>33077976
>>33077973
i already conceded that appendix carry was more dangerous you autistic fuck, but youre still "violating the four basic gun laws" by carrying concealed in any manner. ho about you just be a little more careful reholstering so you dont shoot your dingus off
>>
>>33077995
Hey greenhorn, not all of us have shitty muzzle discipline like you. Your inexperience is showing when you say obnoxious shit like "any concealed carry means muzzle sweeping"

I carry 3:00 OWB, and my muzzle is pointed safe, thanks very much.
>>
>>33078015
what happens if you spread your feet to shoulder width? is your muzzle still "pointed safe"? and to clarify i was referring to iwb. i suppose i wansn't considering owb for concealed carry.
>>
>>33078044
you're really grasping at straws here my dude. *manspreads legs out* well look at that, still pointed at the ground. I don't know, I'm not a fat slob, perhaps if I had huge rolls of fat hanging off my frame I could flag myself.

>.t buttmad glocktard
>>
>>33077918
Failing to follow such basic fucking principles on the grounds of "but I wouldn't make a mistake :^]" makes you a literal nigger. If you have to draw in a panicked situation, no matter how extensive your training, there remains the real possibility that you could fuck up and squeeze one off as you're drawing. Do you want your gun to be pointed at your arteries when that happens?
>>
>>33078552
I think they are much more likely to remove themselves from the gene pool while re-holstering but yea this
>>
>>33075235

>>
>>33078552

Not the guy you're arguing with, but I'm a 32 year old army vet who's been shooting since I was 10.

I have never once, in my life, had a negligent or accidental discharge. Ever. If you somehow manage to "squeeze one off" as you draw, you don't know what the fuck you're doing.

Your finger only goes in the trigger guard when you're ready to shoot. not before. if you're finger is in that trigger guard before your weapon is oriented on target, you're an idiot and shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun.

manual safety is completely unnecessary for a carry gun. it's good to have on a longarm, simply because your AR15 or shotgun isn't in a holster, so their's nothing covering the trigger.... but a pistol that sits in a holster doesn't need a safety. at all.

you're wrong, and you're stupid.
>>
>>33078826
More like
>buy glock
>it's shit
>try to fix it with 3rd party shit

>keep it because you are poor
