What weapons could have turn the Tide in the American Civil war if the Confederate Army equipped to its soldiers.

None. Southern people are dumb as fuck.

almost as dumb as whatever hole you were spawned from.

no weapon of the era would've won the war. the north had an overwhelmingly larger fighting force and they'd have won through sheer numbers.
but just for shits and giggles; if gatling guns replaced 50% of the csa's field artillery and every man had a reliable repeater. both with ample amounts of ammo. they probably could win with that. also, monitor-class ironclads.

A economy that isn't based on cotton. Dumbasses thought france and U.K would have helped them because.

The South had more resolve to fight than the North, at least early in the war.
And a fleet of ironclads would have helped a lot by breaking (and perhaps reversing) the blockade around the South.
Mass deployment of repeaters would have helped as well for obvious reasons, but more modern and heavy hitting artillery would be more of a deciding factor.

>Mass deployment of repeaters would have helped
Heavens no. Could you imagine how that would have affected the supply situation? It was tough enough cranking out enough regular .58 minie balls for them at the end let alone wagonloads of 56-50 spencer, .44 rimfire, or .50 Smith.

The south really wasn't prepared to fight a war.

The Same reason why they replace Joseph E. Johnston, with John Bell Hood
The Union had about 5x the population and about 20x the industrial capacity of the Confederacy. It wasn't about the inferiority of Confederate weapons.
>>33055947
Oh, the South.
Bless your heart if you think your retarded asses could have won, or will ever try again.

We have a right to leave this Union. You warmongers had no right to force us back.
>>33057538
We have a right to leave this Union.
Correct, but it is moral, not legal.
>You warmongers had no right to force us back.
Incorrect. We had every moral right to kill you all if it meant putting an end to slavery. You left to keep niggers. No decent person could simply look the other way and allow it to continue. We should have smashed your army, freed them, armed them, and fucking left.

Are you just trying to discuss Harry Turtledove's Guns of the South? Because that's pretty much the plot of the book

If you can't solve the situation with war (which the south SHOULD haven known they couldn't), find a political solution. Like, find a reason for seceeding that doesn't involve your right to own people (yeah, it's only niggers, but people in the north and europe didn't quite get that). Then you run some sympathy campaigns about muh poor niggers that can't be paid because tariffs, gently tell the brits that the separated states of america would be far less of a threat...

Dreyse needle gun combined with low sulphur blackpowder (less smoke, but some sulphur required for ignition by percussion cap)
+
wrought iron 12pdr gun-howitzers
+
steam power-assisted blockade runners (capable of sneaking out of or into harbour at night during a lull)
+
use of Indians' "ponies" for more mobile cavalry (multiple ponies per man, rotating the use from day to day)
+
some actual plan how to come to political terms with the federal government or to crack up the resolve of the Northern states
