Pretty gimmicky. Loud action, wrist cracking grip angle, HORRIBLE stock trigger (can be polished easily), safety digs painfully into hand.

It's accurate though, magazines are very reliable with a comfortable loading nub, easily accepts optics and looks like its from the future. Also in Westworld.

oh, and for anyone wondering, i only adjusted my acog 2 clicks to the right after swapping rails so the barrel didn't move much at all.

So I just recently finished my first AR and took it out to the range. It's a PSA upper that came complete and I put an spikes lower on it that I bought locally. Anyway, when I was shooting i noticed a very distinct "whooshing" noise when shooting, which I'm assuming is the buffer. Is it supposed to be that audible? Is there some sort of alternate spring that is quieter? It's not a big deal but it's just a little strange to hear it.

Are there any decent drop-in .22LR conversion kits for an AR that cycle reliably?

I wouldn't mind having one--on a farm, you deal with varmints mostly, and only need .223 against things like pigs--but, most conversion kits I've researched a) cost as much as a 10/22, and b) seem to jam a lot.

That said, one that was reasonably-priced and highly reliable would be worth it for being able to use just one platform/optics/etc.

Any pre-2008 336 is pretty good. The Cerebus Group buy-out really did a number on Marlin's quality control.
If you just want a lever gun for all occasions, a 18"Marlin 1894 in .357 or a Browning BLR with a Aluminum receiver if you plan on hiking around and using pointed bullets.

I was waiting for the WA gun bill (hb 1387) to progress, then start panic buying magazines and lowers. But now that I don't have to, I'm going to start slowly pulling together a new AR. I think I want to go for a pistol that I can turn into an SBR eventually.

All the modern stainless kits are virtually the same in terms of reliability; Spike's, CMMG, Taccom, etc. The parkerized kits are notorious for problems tho.

We've had a few of the Rossi 92s for walking guns during drives. The 357/38 is a great combo that you can play cowboy and hunt with. There's upgrades for them, like the large loop and fiber optic sights. I think you'll be very pleased with it.

Today i made something. A wooden grip for ar15. My very first one ever. It look very good for my first grip. It's target style grip carved exactly for my hand very blocky grip for maxmium mechanical grip instead of relaying on friction.

I plan give it texture to it too.

I plan to stain it later its going to look whole other level after staining.

Its 100% functional ready to use.
