No, the NFA taxes specific firearms. The FPA, along with the Huges ammendment, bans the manufacture of machine guns.

So even if the NFA was lifted, full auto would still be banned from manufacture

The only way the Hughes amendment can be enforced is if there is a registry on MG's, repealing the NFA would directly lead to the registry being shut down, it would make no sense to keep that stupid law. The Hughes amendment would be down right unenforceable without the NFA in place, and this will pretty much lead to the hughes amendment also being abolished. It would be like that stupid atf ruling which says that shouldering a brace is modifying your pistol to a rifle, nobody follows this shit

I agree without the registry it would be a lot harder to enforce the Hughes amendment but not impossible.
For example you couldn't own a glock 18 because there weren't any in the US before 1986.
Plus knowing the government and ATF especially they would probably be cunts and arrest people left and right and make them prove their gun used to be a transferable.
