Timex is such an awesome brand it is literally the ultimate rugged watch.

Ive always wanted to shoot a steyr but they are so incredible hard to find at the ranges in my area.

Really well. I've put about 4K through it since attaching it and have had no issues with the mount. It works great for alleys and normal situations you would encounter. I can effectively see my target and hit it at night out to about 40 yards so much farther than I should ever need.
TL;DR: it works great and I would recommend it.

Also how much was the brun custom?
>>

Thats great to here i will probably get that orr the new mini olight gun light that just came out... i was also looking at the super low profile xray light (i think thats what its called) but i held it and it felt fairly cheaply made.
>>
>>33032856
I've had nothing but problems with Viridian. I've owned 3 lights from them and the all sucked. You couldn't tighten the battery cover too much or it wouldn't work, lasers suck, the QD version that "fixed" the battery cover issue makes the bezel wobble all over.
Went to surefire and am very happy I did.
>>
>>33032898
The XC1 can get really low in price on Amazon here and there. I think I payed like $160?
>>
>>33032902
Wow im sorry to hear that. Mine had a few issues staying zeroed in but it fixed itself after recalibrating it like 3 times. Had about 1000 rnd thru and 2 battery changes and still zeroed in perfectly at 7yds. Im overall very pleased but i have heard similar stories to yours and it kind of dissapoints me bc ive had a good experience and they are in my opinion the most aesthetic light attachments. But all the complaints really detract me from buying from them again.

I would like to get a /k/ consensus on INVICTA?

I really like the look of this watch but it's a pretty blatant copy of the Rolex Submariner and since I don't have $8k to spend on a Rolex Submariner, I'm curious what message this watch sends.
Let's face it, like TV's, watches are often status symbols and I'm wondering what most people would think, like "Oh look at that guy trying to pretend he has a Rolex" or if nobody gives a shit.
I just like the way the watch looks.

If I knew or cared about Rolex Submariner watches, I would think you were a poorfag poser. Since I dont, I'd never notice. Just buy whatever watch you like. If you're getting a fancy watch for when you dress up, get one that matches whatever cufflinks / tie bar / belt / shoes you wear when you dress up fancy. If you're looking for a nice everyday watch, dont get something too nice because you'll be mad when you fuck it up.

I was originally leaning towards the Seiko as that's what I wanted but there's a big price difference. I can get that invicta on amazon for $50 to $80, the Seiko is $180 and I prefer the look of the invicta. I just don't like that it's a copy of something else.

You think the Seiko is a higher quality timepiece?

I wish I still had the pictures.

It belonged to an old farmer who screwed a block of wood on the butt end and then put an aftermarket rubber pad on the back of that. The original butt plate was gone. I have to give the old farmer credit though because he had shaped the added block of wood to the stock rather than modifying the stock. I was really grateful for that.
So I took off his block of wood.
Drilled out the screw holes
Glued dowel rods into the drilled out holes.
cut them off and sanded it smooth.
ordered a replica butt plate to match the original.
Searched until I finally found some authentic looking screws.
installed it but had to sand it down to shape.
sanded it down on the stock removing as little from the stock as possible while making it flush.
stripped the stock and fore grip.
took the butt plate back off.
hand rubbed everything with oil, no stain.
Let it dry for a week.
rubbed it with some more oil.
Let it dry for another week.
re-installed everything.

Honestly, I was unhappy with the finish for the a few months but it I guess the oil just had to dry thoroughly. It was too shiny at first. (pic related), not it has a dullness to it that looks better IMO.

I have had multiple Seiko over the years. Watch people always respect them but as far as normal folk are concerned my Invicta skeleton watch has gotten a ton more attention.

Invictas look nice from 5ft away but up close the build quality does not compare to a proper watch.
If you are going to go the cheaper watch route try looking at Seiko or Bulova.

Like I said. As far as attention is concerned people really seem to like my Invicta skeleton Russian diver. I wear suits most days to work and it works well in those situations. It also well in more casual type settings.

I personally think Seiko makes some of the best all around timepieces in the world. Everyone wants a Breitling but lets be real here....

If you want style and quality to price ratio you really have two choices.
Bulova Marine star and Seiko

you cannot go wrong with either of these choices imo

needing a useless watch in a pathetic attempt to impress people

Using a watch to tell time so I can make it to appointments. Seems pretty useful to me.

>>33038140
I have it because it works, not because it's special.

So where's your tactical hipster shit? Go on, impress me with how unique you are.

Its fucking annoying to me. They should issue a fucking recall bc its happening to everyone
>>
>>33044628
Man, I don't even know what watch you're talking about. What I do know is that people suck. If you wear a Rolex for example, people see "Rolex" and they think you're someone important or they think that you come from a wealthy background. They give you better prices on things because they want your business because you have money. Then they turn around and charge some hard working decent person more for the same thing because fuck poor people. People with less money pay more for the same thing that a wealthy person pays less for. It can even show up in your work or if you try to apply for a more elevated position in an office etc...
It's complete and total bullshit but unfortunately that is how the world works.

I just told you how to solve the problem dude. Simply take the pin out, put it on an anvil and hammer one end a little flat with a tack hammer. There, now it will never fall out.

It's a standard issue military one made in Nepal. You can find em online for around 50 bucks.

Light, quick, slim and smooth.
Comfy to carry. Plenty strong enough for locket folder tasks. Comes with universally reversable pocket.

My gun is put away. Who the fuck wears a watch, it's 2017. Haven't worn one since I was enlisted in the Marines and it was required gear. My knife is a multitool but I haven't been able to find the piece of shit in over a month.
