Are Glocks fairly priced relative to their quality? Or is it really a $300 gun sold for $500?
>>
>>33028775
It's a 500 dollar gun sold for 500 dollars.
>>
>>33028775
$100 sold for $500. Glocks are shite.
>>
>>33028775
if you want a high profit margin gun look at the HS2000 vs Springfield XD. the original Croatian HS was sold for 250 in the US before Springfield Armory hijacked it.

but lots of guns are like that. Go look to see how much per unit the Army is going to 'pay' for the new Sig 230s.

you glock cucks would defend them even if they were $1000

Glocks are produced for around $200.00, and sold for $450.00-$550.00.

You're getting a solid gun for the cost. They're vetted handguns, and the aftermarket is huge.

You can buy a stock Gen4-19, and it will serve you well. After a few relatively cheap aftermarket purchases, you'll have an even better firearm that shoots smoother. If you want, you can dump around $1000.00 to get slide/frame work done and truly make it a gun fit to you.

If you want one, buy one.

Couldn't you at least be using the new hotness and be waving around an fn45 with a milk jug hanging off the barrel and ten inch tall night sights? At least then it would be easier to carry than your brick.

Pic related, why everyone should hate HK on principle.

What a surprise

>Go look to see how much per unit the Army is going to 'pay' for the new Sig 230s.
That's not a fair comparrison, single large volume buying is very different from individual retail sale, especially with non-government firearms sales due to all the legal bullshit tacked on to every step of the process.
>>
>>33028775
The consept of that gun is great. Designed to function in extreme stress conditions like intense firefight. It grunt pistol. Doesn't ND on you but still somehow doesn't use "safety".

Compare glock to 92 burrito. It has a safety switch. That switch can kill you if not trained for serious amounts of time.

Glock isn't a race gun like those 1911 customs or some CZ models. Triggers can't be even compared.

>>33029462
Forgot to mention: Personal opinion is that the ergonomics like brick and recoil feels annoying.
>>
The fact that there are better built pistols for cheaper out on the market should give you your answer. Not saying glocks aren't great, but I'd say they're overpriced for what you're getting out of the box.
>>
>>33028775
Is the SD9VE costing 350 or whatever not undeniable evidence that the Glock is a ripoff? Sure it's not as good as the Glocks with its trigger or aftermarket, but that's not price related.
>Inb4 muh r&d costs

I was thinking about getting a glock as my first pistol but it seems that I can't find one for much less than $1000. I bought a Sig Sauer p226 instead

No, it's evidence the Glock is clearly a superior firearm.
>>
>>33028775
they make glocks for probably 200 to 250 dollars. You need high margins to maintain factories and skilled 1st world workers instead of hiring roaches like winchester does. It's worth the only though. It's a capable edc carry gun

Jump the fence

I cannot cover you any longer

The crux is now.
>>
>>33028775

Glocks are fairly priced based on who's selling them. If you're paying at or near MSRP you're getting screwed, and that's true with all guns.

Also, don't listen to any of the fuckers that try to say glocks are shit. For whatever reason, hating glocks has become a cool thing to do. They're the gold standard for no-bullshit pistols. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
>>
>>33028806
>>33032632

you mean Sig P320. Literally 2 seconds on google, and you're already on the internet.... no excuse for being this stupid.
>>
>>33033597
Oh, I thought the 210 was chosen.
>>
I paid $550 for my g19. I know I got ripped off on price, but that's what the store was selling it for. I'm happy with it, and I wouldn't take $550 for it if someone offered.

I often look at the polymer body and the relatively simple slide and think "how the hell is this $500?". But at the end of the day, it's a reliable gun. And that's where the price comes from. The fact that it's a gun already implies it'll be overpriced - at least in terms of materials.
>>
>>33028775
You can get a Jericho for cheaper, and those are really good handguns.

Not him, but I like my Glock 32. I just think of 357 Sig as a really hot 9mm, 357 mag is still stronger (especially when it comes to heavier projectiles and longer barrels.) What really attracted me was the ability to drop in a g23 barrel, or even an aftermarket 9mm conversion. It is my opinion that regular old 9mm is a stellar cartridge as well.

300 dollar gun sold for 500. When you can get used glocks closer to 300 then it makes perfect sense and it's a great deal.

>>33029462

>Doesn't ND on you

I guess it's another gun they keep having to issue higher trigger-pulls on for LEOs because they keep shooting themselves with it.
>>
I think they are $50-100 overpriced compared to what you can get from other manufacturers. Of course, Glock uses MAP instead of MSRP. My opinion doesn't count for much in those matters.

In the end it's like Joe said,
"It's a business, it ain't UNICEF, OK?"
>>
>>33031196
Still better than 1911s. Especially Colt 1911s
>$100
>MSRP $1100, shelf price of $1300, used $1000.
