Hey guys I’m looking for some opinions and advice.
I’m looking to pick up my second 1911 .45 this sometime soon.
I have a full size government model and I want this one to be compact so I can carry it.
I want to stay under 1,000.00.
Ive looked around for a while watching reviews and looking at specs.
I like the Kimber Ultra Carry II and it can be gotten for well under budget.
I also like Sig’s Ultra Compact. MSRP is over a grand but it looks like it can be gotten for 900.00
I’d like to know what you guys think it the best compact 1911 .45 under a grand and why.

Sig > Kimber

This.
Also, most compact 1911's have a alloy lower as apposed to steel because it's assumed you are using it for carry. I hate that. Make that shit steel.

Compared to the kimber the sig has a stainless nitron coated slide, front checkering and night sites.
Everyone says the trigger on the sig is great but im still trying to find one in a shop to see for myself.

Smith and Wesson
Why can't you carry a government model?
I would look at Colt.
Would personally never even consider Kimber or Sig.

Colt Defender
Whatever you go with, remember to use loads with lighter weight bullets (200gr or less) and no +P lest you want incomplete extractions and bolt-over-base malfunctions.
Have yet to see a Kimber that isn't a jammomatic
>wouldn't depend my life on it
For years I wanted a para warthog but rumors of so-so quality scared me away. If I could find one for a song I think I'd chance it.
If someone like Ruger made a clone of it, I would take that in a heartbeat.
Knowing a guy that used to work for sig, I wouldn't buy a new sig. They are headed for Remington territory right now.

>Colt
Can confirm. This is the best choice op.
Pic related. Fun as hell to shoot. Runs like a swiss watch.

Holy shit anon, I like that. It needs a threaded barrel, but fuck I think I want that.
I think RIA has been getting better from a short time of Taurus-tier quality. I'll still wait for reviews but I think this lil cutie will be next in line after my Maxim 9.

I checked with them and they are saying availability by end of the year "hopefully".
Here is the only video of any kind I can find at the moment.

I bet that thing feels like having an 80's harddrive in your belt.
>named their compact and subcompacts the Rocks
The Kimber looks nice but I'd trust a Taurus first.
