Is there any real difference between quick clot sport and combat gauze?

A PC only carries rifle plates, what is called a "bulletproof vest" is typically a concealable kevlar vest which typically doesn't accept plates.

generally a "bullet proof vest" is a soft armor vest that is meant to stop pistol rounds. A plate carrier is just nylon meant to carry hard plates that stop rifle rounds.

Why are retards on here so obsessed with this "grey man" thing? The point of "grey man" is to look like a normal person. So just wear jeans, a nice button up shirt, and a fucking Jansport backpack, and you'll look like just some random person. Carry your gun concealed just like you would normally, and if you need a bigger gun, carry it in a briefcase or something.

HK sells a backpack on their website that has a pocket that can fit a large frame gun, in a location that you can easily draw from. Does anybody have one of these? Seems like a good option for CCing a large frame handgun, especially since normalfags don't know what HK is.

https://us.hkwebshop.com/HKWebShop/show/byItemID/10114//369///////////true

Also, do any companies make similar packs that can fit even bigger guns, like an AK pistol or MP5k?

Alright so I need some final thoughts/critiques before I start buying all this stuff. I am wanting a belt setup for 2gun and just general fun and that is what this is supposed to be. I am thinking an AWS belt with a double Esstac AR mag pouch, a double Esstac pistol mag pouch, and some Esstac belt loops to mount em. I already have a holster that will work with everything. Thinking about getting the belt in black and the pouches in foliage green since all black is sorta autistic looking.

On a different note I wish AWS had bigger photos.

You saw me and blu use our respective ones at grozny right? I had a war belt and he had a low profile, after using my war belt I honestly think the low profile will be better and plan on picking one up. That said, I adjusted mine and plan on testing it again to see if I had it to high. I like the belt a lot when running drills, but after using it and not being able to bend well it was a pain to use. Need to get a riggers belt to stick in it.

Totally different ends of the tacticool spectrum. A D3CR is a light clip & play setup for the "basics". A harness is meant for carrying a lot of weight and distributing it on the hips. What you have pictured there is capable of carrying 600 SAW rounds, plus the visible MBITR, and who knows what tucked away in the buttpack. That's a lot of shit. Personal opinion is that chest rigs + light pistol belts are superior for any kind of light load tacticool setup. Full LBE harness is only better if you need to carry a lot of shit that has to be on your combat load.

>>33018017
I'm familar with the Eagle Industries shotgun retainer. It works ok-ish. If the shotgun is the only long arm you're carrying, I'd just use an adjustable two point sling. You can still push it to the pictured side position if you're wearing a pack, or all the way on your back if you aren't and it's more comfy.

>>33017740
A big, giant, padded "war" belt is more useful if you're turning it into a harness and loading it down with tons of stuff. If you just want a belt for a pistol and a few minor things, go smaller. Less heat on your body, less pressure against you, and overall more comfortable.
>>

>>
>>33019011
Dubs gets a response.

Tactical Tailor MAV with H Harness. Was going to put a 3 mag panel with ESSTAC kywi inserts but decided against it.
>>
>>33019097
6sh122 is the new ratnik uniform, it's like a comfier, better built partizan suit. Plus it will be hot as balls and vkbo isn't suited for it. They use the 122 in syria. Get both if you can afford it for different times of the year, but 122 will be good in the heat
>>
>>33018748
Shattered it mountain boarding in my woods.
ER nurses were rather impressed with how bad it was. I met the 3 requirements for needing surgery. Was overlapped into a Z, more than 1" apart and more then 3 pieces.
The pre sugery was fine, kinda neat watching them put the nerve block in my neck.
After surgery was super bad, the pain is unreal once the meds start coming off. So I suggest you keep up on the med schedule as even when you think you are good it will hit you.
After a while it gets bearable and you'll be doing more but dont plan on doing much for the first 2 weeks.
I was lucky(and stupid), so I didn't do PT since I had full range of motion.

The nerve issue is from mid bicep up to the base of my neck and from the top of the scar down to below my nipple. It is indescribable. Hurt but was numb. It has mostly gone away as I can feel hot and cold now but every now and then something will rub it wrong and just messes me up.
Oh and you probably won't set off a metal detector so take that as you will.
>>
>>33018969

>>33017740
A few thoughtful considerations can be made for each one. First a look at the war belt. If you are carrying more robust gear, or for that matter more weight, it is no doubt that this is the way to go. Espically if you add in a harness. This is proven by hiking packs, the more material around your waist, its going to allow for some level of weight distribution.

With that being said.. Im my experience less weight on the belt is the way to go. Why would you want a ton of weight on a belt? If your a warfighter in some capacity I understand, as light infantry are not light at all, and youll have a ton to carry, no way around it.

But for most uses id recommend keeping the belt light. In that senerio it is highly advantageous to get a low pro style belt, especially one with an inner belt. Either way you should consider getting an inner belt set up, as im not sure how it could benefit you to have two buckles rubbing into eachother.

War Belt
>Harness ability
>More weight distribution
>Larger equipment (More MOLLE straps)
>Limits freedom of movement

Low Pro Belt
>Inner belt capability
>More secure (Some allow for hasty rapelling)
>Less weight/equipment options
>More movement (Better for vehicle ops for sure)

Also a low pro belt, advocates a healthy first line relationship. If you have a giant ass belt, youll be wanting to take it off all the time, and when given the chance you probably will. But If you have a small, low pro belt, youll be more likely to leave it on for longer periods of time (Which is the point of a first line.. having the most important basics ON you).
>>
>>33019175
yeah, but paying $140 for such a light weight suit is fucking stupid. I'm nato or miltia, fuck that russian shit tier gear.
>>
>>33017740
>>33019205
Cont.

So all in all its going to depend on your use and mission. If your larping or doing some form of that mil sim, idk if it fits your kit or cosplay look, then Id go war belt I guess. But if your looking for something to use shooting, moving, innawoods, shtf, low pro enough to not look like a mall ninja, but enough to do what you need it to, id go low pro.

Here are some options..
>Tyr Tactical Gunfighter
>Ronin Tactics
>AWS lab belt

Also if your looking for a 'low(er) pro' war belt, id highly consider..
>Orin belt by Trex arms x Coyote Tactical Solutions

If I wasnt going to get a low pro belt, I would get that. Basically the best war belt option in the market IMO.

I call main service number as many times, NOTHING. I email, NOTHING. Today, finally, I get an email from STAMPS.com Fucking STAMPS.com. A US GOV Contracting company uses fucking STAMPS.com. Goddamn them all to hell. I fucking hate that company now. I should have just ordered a fucking ops-core.

Yea, when I fuck something up, I fuck it up real good. With the way your xray looks, it would have been ok if left on its own, but I deff would have gone with the surgery in your case also.

I would say to take the percs/oxys for at least the first week. I was waking up every 4hrs at night with the meds cause thats when they start wearing off. If you find you dont like how they make you feel, then take the meds only to fall asleep and use the ibuprofen(Advil) or naproxen sodium(Aleve) for the day time. Stay away from the acetaminophen(Tylenol) while on the Percocets or Oxytocin as they have it in already and it will hurt your liver.
With most things like that, use it when you need it and start backing off when you feel you can. But for the first week or two you will need at least some of them.

You got yours pretty good from that xray. How did ya do it?

This is after they put mine back together.
Btw chicks dig scars but if you find you dont like the way it looks, rubbing vitamin E or coco butter into it will help break up the scar tissue.

>>
Please dont kill me for asking this question but how many mags shoukd you have immediately accessible in your loadout? Ive heard people say amount of mags for combat is minimum 8-10 mags so do you put pouches on your belt if your chest rig/plate carrier wont fit all of it?
>>
>>33016962
nigger you better put a tab on that tape right the fuck now
>>
>>33020572
Generally the consensus is 3-4 for anybody not operating in a dedicated squad.

Even in the military you usually only have 6 immediately accessible with the remaining 2-4 either stowed in an assault pack or mainly buddy-accessible. Simply isn't enough room on your kit for 10 mags plus all the other shit the military makes you use.

nailed it.

For one, you simply do not have room on a plate carrier for 10 fucking rifle mags plus all your other mandatory shit (IFAK, comms, water). For two, 10 mags runs between 10 (AR with 55gr) and 22 (any of the .308's with 20rd mags and anything heavier than m80) pounds just in ammo.

Should I buy single or triple curve plates? Are triples really worth that much more in terms of comfort and mobility?

Pls no bully, new to /gq/.
>>
>>33020570
Yea, boards will mess you up real good, real fast and I'm always looking to help other people if I can.
To be honest it was my first time mountain boarding, I'm just glad I missed all the trees. I bottomed it out on a ditch and hit the ground doing between 20-30mph. Needless to say I didnt go back to mtn boarding and I tried snow this year but don't like my feet being locked together.
I have started sailboarding which I like much better. My feet arent strapped in, the water is much softer and when you get moving you just fly. Uses a lot of upper body and core strength.

This happened about 6yrs ago and I wouldn't say I'm 100% again, I have 99% of my range of motion and most of my strength. Probably about 87% overall. The problem is I skipped the Physical Therapy part that I really should have done. That would have helped a lot with the strength. Also with the random popping noises and things like that.
Never done lifting so cant comment there. Did construction work which the main issue I had was the nerve damage. It makes it so I can't carry anything that goes on the left shoulder. A backpack is fine for short times but of it hits or rubs wrong then it takes me a while to get past that. Even a seatbeat sliding across was to much sometimes. Hopeully you dont have any nerve pain as that is the worst part for me. There are things that are supposed to help, like rubbing a towel or something across the area to stimulate it but I never did.

Also at this point in time I'm 90% sure I fucked up my hips from that wreck also. Even though my homemade straps broke free, it was still real rough on my legs. So if you do PT ask them to check your hips and knees.

Yes, triple curves are worth the extra bones in my opinion. They conform to your body so much better and cut down on the "turtle" feel instead of jutting out at edges of your vest/carrier. They are definitely a big plus if your are using a low profile vest/carrier too.

will definitely be doing PT - you mention hips and whatnot and i also want a full body tune-up so to speak, just to make sure all systems are go. Shoulder ligament was slightly pulled, for example

fwiw the surgeon even semi-corrected me when i mentioned nerve damage/pain, described it instead as numbness. Assured me it would be localized and virtually unnoticeable. is it possible trauma from the crash itself caused most of your nerve pain? i imagine the surgery was also a factor

I'd like to see your Cheeto eating ass try. I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

Still going to reduce the average belt size of people.

I think you vastly over estimate your observation capabilities. I mean I think greyman is a dumb meme invented by arf com because they are so autistic that they need a guide on how to look "normal" while also carrying 4 stippled glocks and a karambit. But if there are mass riots/zombies/russian paratroopers and your concern is checking people for lumpy shapes you are probably going to miss a lot of more important shit.

Do you want a IIIA vest or a carrier with IIIA in it?

If you want a dedicated IIIA concealable vest look around police supply stores near you. Else check bulletproofme.com. Its hard to fuck up a IIIA vest unless its uncomfortable or expired (dont buy a used one).

How do you shoulder a rifle if your plate is in the way?
>>
>>33023024
I'm looking just a vest. If I end up wanting something I can slap plates in, I'll buy that separately. Thanks for the link and the advice F A M.
>>
>>33023059
Ideally your plate shouldnt be in the way. Thats why we have swimmers cut plates. If your plates are sized correctly and your carrier isnt something goofy like an interceptor vest you shouldn't have an issue. With bulky vests like the interceptor you might have issues, this is why there are many photos of people having a rifle barely shouldered at all when wearing military issue stuff. I have shot just about every common semi auto platform while wearing armor and havent ran into any issues.

The only plate carrier I have ever tried on is some cheap condor that a friend got with some plates he bought

http://tacticalgear.com/condor-compact-plate-carrier-black

Are other carriers designed to fit the human body better or should I just learn to deal?
>>
>>33023175
Condor is probably the source of the issue but giving it the doubt;

Your friend might have had plates larger than you needed or maybe the carrier wasnt adjusted correctly.

What rifle were you shooting?
>>
>>33023190
Was not shooting, just trying to shoulder some rifles with it on

Tried it with my AR and AK and just could not get it properly against my body

I just got the bottom of the stock to rub against this area and was stretching my neck for a cheekweld ,He had the same issue but said he will just place the stock on the plate and he does not care.

How do Tyr Tactical Combat Adjustable Happy Mag Pistol Pouches (with the elastic pull tab removed) compared to HSGI pistol TACOs? They're a little pricier, but I want to get the best of the two. FirstSpear Comm Pack (medium size). I got the Blue/Silver color variation and it doesn't stand out at all when I'm out and about or going to my classes. I was mostly thinking a pistol, maybe a secondary IFAK, move my pistol mags to my belt, and maybe a couple single mag pouches so that my plate carrier isn't carrying more than four/five mags. I guess it'd be nice to fit a canteen or two on there as well.

>>33019205
>>33019253
Definitely good points to consider. The real reason I wanted a war belt was to get the harness attachment with the AVS that helps distribute the weight of the PC to your legs rather than resting everything on your shoulders and chest. I'm not sure if that can be done with lower profile belts or not.

Yea sailboarding is awesome, rather expensive to get into but I love flying across a lake.
Thats real rough that you had to keep going down, good thing adrenaline is one hell of a drug. Also you are lucky you didnt get more hurt when you fell on it the second time. Doing research after my crash I found that people can actually puncture their lungs with the broken bone when they crash.
PT is worth it even though its repetitive.

The way my surgeon explained the nerve damage was that when they went in they had to move stuff out of the way and the nerves got stretched out which is what caused it. Thats part of the reason that it was all forward of my scar and on my back was fine. I imagine yours will be much less invasive then mine so that will help. Every case is different so can't say till after the fact.
As for how it feels, well numbness is kinda right but not really. Its more like when you are out in the cold to long so your hands start to go numb then you come in and they just hurt like being stabbed by pins. Its numb but it still hurts. Its really not easy to understand unless youve had it.

Like any good /k/omando, I'm always lurking and I'm just glad i could help some.

Any /k/ommandos in the market for a war belt? Have an SOE "tapered war belt" with cobra rigger's velcro sided belt insert that's been collecting dust for years and got used for all of 2 months lightly.

Says size 38 on the belt but I'm a 34 and it cinches down fine, should accommodate up to 40" waists.
>>
>>33024671
It's definitely a little overpriced, but the quality is there. I've been toying with basically creating my own, but the way the carriers and attachments all link together is the biggest plus to me, plus a pretty uniform level of aesthetics and profile.

I mean look how the system stays together without a belt at all. The fact its so secure once you get the main belt and the velcro under belt in place is a big selling point. Plus dat leather belt front aesthetic option.

I'm not 100% sold by any means, but unless I can start piecing together something comparable I might just bite.
