I'm not even surprised.

Yes, it would appear to have the naughty pin.
And with the tangs cut off the receiver, it looks like something that came from a cartel.

It wasn't a legal transfer and they are not a class 3 dealer also.

I imagine it was bought by an inexperienced clerk who just saw a cheap AK. Fucking crazy that a FA went for that low. Silly gangsters.

Then again pawn shops don't attract the best of cliental always.

Dominion Investment Group (D.I.G.), a major firearm importer based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. This was a group headed by a gentleman who was actually an attorney. Years later, he passed away from a heart attack, so associates assisted his wife in continuing the business by partnering with Intrac.

Maybe he imported the gun as a toy and the wife sold it off not knowing it was NFA

Look up a guide on how to interpret the markings and try and figure out when it was made. If it's military surplus I like to keep it sealed. Especially because I'm too lazy to clean corrosive these days. If it's civilian production then it's whatever you pleasure.

You can buy Barnaul new production stuff sealed in a spam can. It occasionally is available for sale. Usually more expensive than loose stuff and only worth it if you just have to have something sealed. But it's still just civilian grade ammo inside which is usually pretty weak from Russia.

It should just slip on the pins, right past the hammer spring leg.

Depends on what kind of retainer spring comes with your rifle. The one on my SLR-104FR require me to get the spring tension off trigger so I could wiggle it around and pry the thing out, the one that came with my WASR was fine though

Pretty much that.
If the seal is intact then the ammo inside could be spotless. But it's corrosive ammo so why bother paying more for that than what you could pay for modern non-corrosive commercial ammo? For collector purposes is really the only answer. I guess if I person does the gun show scene they could sell the individual packets of ammo to collectors and turn a profit.

I hope you didn't pay a lot for it, because it's commercial ammo in a tin, not 7n6.
If the person that sold it to you advertised it as 7n6 then that's crooked as hell.
Those other two tins look like they might actually be 7n6 though.

I'm wondering why it's tied at all. Either the tab (whatever you call it) on the bottom of the guide rod is broken, or the slot that it goes into on the receiver is broken. Either way, that's fucking sketchy and I would not want my face right in that general vicinity.
>>
>>32994436
On an SVD, the recoil rod attaches to the dust cover. I've never had the pleasure of disassembling an SVD but I imagine it's highly similar to how it is on the SKS. Without the dust cover there is nothing to hold the recoil spring guide in.

There's definitely plenty going on at night near ASU on Mill street in Tempe, but then you have to deal with college kids which is a pro or con depending how you look at it. As for the heat I don't mind it so much personally since I grew up on the east coast and the dry heat we get in Arizona is easy to deal with provided you hydrate adequately when you're outside shooting/hunting.

Hiking with aks is for when you're hungover. That's what the bars are for the night before.
>>
>>32997008

Bro bars are the the biggest waste of money . You can drink at home or in the woods/desert for cheap.
>>

To own a tank? When everyone says I can't do it I don't think it to be low. I should add that it will have a functioning cannon

Anything is possible if you are on top of your financial game. Most are just impatient niggers. I believe a tank is completely obtainable if you are deticated to your goals .

That's good fucking news. Gun control is like every other leftist agenda: it only ratchets one way. If we can get it to go the opposite direction, even once, anywhere, it will have a salutory effect on the culture wars... and not just with regards to guns.

What specifically is in the works?

I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned here but has anyone ever bothered to make their iron sights easier to pick up with some sort of paint or something? I have my rifle set up as an AKM but with some 74 style front furniture so I'm not 100% purist. I've been looking to do something like this or get a surplus optic that won't break because I was pretty let down by a Primary arms red dot that was shilled for a while.
