It's a compromise. A 10 inch barrel with a pinned suppressor is still much quieter than a 16" barrel unsuppressed. I love it and am half way through building one myself, just waiting on the dog shooters to run a 5 minute background check.

Because every fucking time you take that gun out of your basement (or shit, out of wherever you keep it awat from prying eyes) you're risking prison. All it takes is someone coincidentally seeing it and taking an interest and you're potentially looking at prison time.

There are just too many factors outside of your control if you ever take that gun outside.
