If it can be hurt by a 50 cal. then it would be almost nothing to take one down, if it requires a 20mm cannon or bigger then we can take it down with Apaches tatatatatata's and A-10 brrrrrrrrrrrt's, and if it can be taken out with missiles only then just wait for it to land then fire a rocket salvo at it, or alternatively maybe its hot enough for a heat seeker to follow.

The problem with dragons is that since there is no numeric data about them, we can only speculate, or in other words, wathever fits your story because you could claim that dragons are demigods and still be right and claim that dragons would get rekt easily and still be right.

If only medieval authors used technical sheets for their imagination instead of writing.

I would only add questions that are not usually answered like:

>Can dragons break the sound barrier? And can do 180º turns in seconds without considering speed?

In Shadowrun this is explicitly spelled out, they have a power called dragonspeak, that's a sort of telepathy. Most dragons also have a personal assistant because dragonspeak doesn't work on anything they don't have line of sight on. So when they go on TV or something like that, they dragonspeak to the PA, and the PA talks to the camera/microphone/what have you.

If they have magic we're 100% fucked.

A smart dragon (which it would be, if it were a spellcaster) would just polymorph itself into a human and then take over the world through politics because of its supernaturally high charisma and assortment of mind-control spells. This is assuming it isn't powerful enough to just render itself immune to our weaponry and continue its path of destruction unhindered, which it might be.

Regular, non-magic dragons would be a relative piece of cake, given their size limitations due to nature. Slightly more dangerous than a fighter jet.
