Hey I'm the guy from last thread whose brining SPR AR15, Garand, Rossi R92, 10/22, +pistols from last thread. Someone shitposted pretending to be me last thread and I was not there to post because I've been busy literally blacksmithing steel rods today into S hooks to attach plates to the stand I built.

Guys believe me, shoot the absolute shit out of these plates. If I have to place any kind of rules about shooting my targets I guess I'll say don't shoot the crossbeam, S-hooks or chains obviously, and don't shoot em' with black tip or Raufoss. That's the only rules I'll set. Otherwise, blast away with whatever you got. Steel jacketed stuff makes great sparks at dusk.

I will have TWO 1'x1' 3/8" thick plates near the firing line for pistols only.

ONE 1'x1' 1/2" thick plate at one hundred yards, shoot whatever you want to at that.

Pic related will be at 250 or 300 yards, I'll let you guys choose, middle plate is 1/2" thick, 1'x2'. The ones to either side are 8"x8", 3/8" thick. Again shoot it with whatever you got.

And finally at 400 or 500 yards(if you have that much range Swiggan) I'll place ONE 3/8" thick 1'x1' plate which you can shoot with whatever you got, provided you or I are able to accurately shoot that far.

So how are you guys handling the water issue? There's a pond, which will need to be purified if you're pulling water from it. Seriously though. when you go to clear the grass remember you don't have to clear the entire line from shooting line to targets. Just 30 or 50 feet in front of the targets depending on high the grass is. So make sure you start at the targets and work towards the firing line and save a lot of labor. Fire extinguishers are not cheap that's for sure but when you need one you really need one.
We use a rake in the back yard when it's not real windy and if the grass is especially dry we wet it down before hand. With that pond right there it isn't even a problem to dump a few buckets of water. Probably won't be an issue.
High winds and very dry brush using steel core ammo on really rocky soil can end badly. Not trying to ruin anything but prior proper planing prevents piss poor performance.

Is anyone interested in a 30in full choke barrel for a Mossberg 500? I just found it stuffed behind the foam in one of my cases. I know. If I didn't work 40+ hours a week it'd be done by now, and I am honestly sorry for not getting it done.

I intend to specifically take time off of work soon to finish both the music video compilation, as well as the "buddy rush" as best I can; the buddy rush video and many of the videos I took during the last NF were corrupted due to damage to the GoPro, sadly. I wasn't able to recover much; the video of Truckerbro firing was totally corrupted along with most of the footage of that weekend.

I'd have taken that time off earlier, but I recently received a host of new job responsibilities.

I need to have money for food, rent, etc; or I'm not going to be able to do much in the way of editing video. Doesn't help that I'm individually rotoscoping each face, and doing so is...resource intensive to say the least. If I didn't have to do that, I'd have been done a week after NF.

What I mean to say is; I've needed a solid 4-5 days straight to work on the NF vid, and have not been able to scratch the time together with my work and life schedule, and for that I am very honestly sorry.

All that said, I would absolutely implore that you don't try any surprise throat-punching.

In regards to hosting events; I very much encourage you to host your own event, if you feel this one is lacking. I'm sure you will do an excellent job; and there is absolutely no monopoly on /k/ meetups by Creepfinder, and I'm sure you are capable of working out the logistics and organization.

From seeing pictures of previous events, does everyone where masks all the time or is that just for the photo shoots? I have a DSLR camera that I use for pictures and spotting. I'd be fine with surrendering an sd card to a responsible adult such as creep or do some other process to protect everyone's identity but if anyone is uncomfortable or there is some designated camera guy already I'd rather just leave it at home.

Had I planned ahead I could have gotten an eyepiece to use the lenses without the camera but there's no more time to ships things.

Generally you can always call the cops and report a misdemeanor. You CANNOT initiate a citizen's arrest in Texas for a misdemeanor even if you personally witnessed the crime. Only if the act is a felony (state or federal) do you have authority to arrest someone and use reasonable force to effect it. Note that using deadly force is absolutely forbidden during a citizens arrest unless they produce a weapon and show some form of murderous intent.

If you see anything illegal just call the cops. It saves a lot of liability and preserves the legal case against them better. But just for kicks I might dive deeper into the issue and cite stuff.

There is no way we are blowing it all at once. After about 50 pounds you really start to get diminishing returns if you are just blowing it up in the open. Now if you enclose it, I've seen old wooden grain silos get turned into so many splinters with just 150lb. A "standard" size tannerite target is only like a quarter pound, we could shoot nothing but reactives the whole weekend with that much i we could find containers. Hell we could probably do with a pack of dixi cups and a few rolls of ducktape to properly reinforce them.

Yeah I noticed that when I set off 36 lbs of tannerite vs 50 lbs of tannerite a few months later, there really wasn't much difference, if anything the 36lb ones was more spectacular because the water table was very high, ground was muddy and the explosion threw up a shit ton of mud that flew out into a 150 yd radius. The 50lb one I did on a lake and it was meh.
