The issue here is that you're implying the Volkssturm stood and fought. Most were either overrun instantly or simply threw down their arms when the encountered heavy resistance. Only units like 11. and 33. SS were truly capable of any sort of effective defense. Read Antony Beevor's book on Berlin, it gives a damn good account of the battle.

This irks me quite a bit and these are only some of what I've noticed. Why are you guys so hellbent in slandering the memory of men who fought and died for what they believed in?

The Russians had a lot of scum in their ranks, but there were also many honest and good men among them. I've absolutely no problem with any kind of memorial and dedication made in their honor, and I certainly wouldn't want to disrespect their memory.

Anyone who goes through the crucible of war and carries himself with honor is deserving of any memorial or dedication...but why is it when we talk about German soldiers, you go as far as to talk of pissing on their graves?

Really rustles my jimmies. Not even taking into account that i rooted for the Krauts, it just really does bother me that people would just shit on their memory like that.

The 6 million figure is false. Heck, even the Holocaust memorial recognizes that that figure is a relic from the immediate post-WW2 atmosphere.
Look man, I'm not denying that people were gassed or any other atrocity, but I can tell you with confidence that the idea of the Holocaust as the concerted systematic effort to exterminate Jews is a false one.
Most of them died of hunger or disease near the end of the war since you know, the Germans couldn't really spare any resources towards such things when they were losing a war on two fronts, combined with allied bombing of supply lines.
Were Jews discriminated against? Yes. Were they systematically purged in an effort that would have severely drained Germany of resources that would be better off used in the war? No.
