What tactical pens are you operators running with?
>>32965413
Shush
>>32965439
I'm considering this pen.
1. non screw cap
2. flat place for thumb
3. good p-clip
What are you currently using?
good ol g-2
>>32965463
Shhh
Wait is OP actually retarded or just pretending? It's getting hard to tell these days.
>>32965483
The 05 (.5mm) is a good pilot. Not a fan of a thicker line from those pilots.
bic 4 point
>>32965492
>He carries a tactical knife but not a tactical pen.
For daily tasks a pen will be more useful than a tactical knife for most people.
>>32965542
Depends on the job? I work with computers and almost never need to write anything. Knife is more convenient for zip ties and boxes.
>>32965621
I have my alox pioneer (that I love) on my keys. I don't currently edc a pen. Seems like a pen that I could use to strike with would be more useful than carrying a tactical knife along with my vic.
>>32965413
A pilot g2. It writes when I need it to write. Not gonna carry a fancy ass tacticool pen, when I already carry a gun and a knife.
>be a leaf
>Tactical pen get confiscated by the police at the train station
I swear to fucking god
>stainless steel construction
>rubber grip
>Japanese made so folded 1000x over
>>32965732
What gun and knife?
Do you carry at work?
>>32965749
Sorry to hear that.
The whole idea is a pen is one of the few items you could potentially use for defense that won't get confiscated.
OK I would be unironically interested in a tactical pen. But is there one that isn't priced retardedly?
I do deliveries and need a pen for customers to sign stuff. Regular pens snap in half or explode all the time.
>>32965776
>That sucks
It sure does, I carried that pen for 3 years without a issue until some power-tripping pig sees me writing my work with it. He wanted to charge me for owning a "prohibited" weapon.
>>32965413
G2 pilot, black.
>>32965805
there's quite a few around or under 20 bucks. I think most can take common refills.
>>32965853
>>32965732
>>32965483
>all this Pilot G2 support
fellhoelter tibolt
yes I paid $100 for a pen
>>32965805
my EDC combo
>>32965882
oh and fun fact: fellhoelter barely makes knives anymore because pens were 1000x more profitable
>>32965413
I have a fisher space pen. Writes upside down and under water from -35 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
>>32965413
Some rando ball point I stole from my local bank. Who's asking?
>>32965413
I remember reading a news article of some German or Danish chick who used a Cross fountain pen to stab her assailant during a an attempted rape on a university campus. Dude lost an eye (...and got 5 years jail).
>>32965842
this is why tactical pens needs to look like pens are not tacticool.
>>32967352
*and not tacticool
>>32965749
Stop carrying obnoxious shit. pic related will fuck someone really nice and no one will look at it twice.
>>32967393
>bolt action pen
>not obnoxious and out of place
You need to go outside more.
>>32965413
>using pen while they are the least trustworthy writing utensil
Use a pencil.
>waterproof (writing and pencil itself)
>can't run out of ink
>can't get other various ink feeding problems
>can be sharpened with almost anything with an edge
Also erasable
>>32965483
G-2 .38 is probably the best "easily obtainable" cheap pen there is. The UNI Jetstream will kick it's ass all day long though.
Unfortunately you have to go to somewhere like:
http://www.jetpens.com/Uni-Jetstream-Standard-Ballpoint-Pen-0.38-mm-Black-Ink-Black-Body/pd/10591
to get them, they don't sell them in the US.
Fountain pens are where it's at. Pilot Vanishing point for life yo.
>>32965413
Pilot g2 in blue, .5 mm point. I also run a black sharpie for work.
>>32965762
Those pens write like shit though.
Pilot g2. Metal pens and my knife grind on each other all day and scratch to hell. Pen is a shit weapon. I'll grab my gun or knife if I need a weapon.
>>32967509
Number one reason people use pens these days is for signatures
>>32967769
Yeah for some reason i was thinking survival or SHTF
>>32965413
This is a more tactical pen since you can use it to actually save someone's life or just poke some bastard in the eye.
>>32967393
neat. what make/model
>>32967790
Thinking like a Russian, my friend. While the US spent millions [citation needed] on developing a space pen, Ivan simple took a pencil and called it good.
uniball jetstream medium shit writes like a dream
Check it out.
It's a pen, it's a pointy piece of aluminum, it's a glassbreaker, it's a handcuff key, and it's $20.
>>32967466
Right. A lever action pen would be less likely to scar soccer moms at the grocery store

Everyone look at this post! G-2 is good, Jetstream is much much better, try one.
>>32965413

Those benchmade pens are so damn expensive.
Would you purchase it again?
>>32965915
I'm going to need that back.
>>32968264
You can do a ghetto tracheostomy with one but you would require the proper knowledge of what to cut and where to stick the little transparent plastic tube.
>>32968286
never do this
what the hell are you folks doing to your pens that you need to spend 200+ dollars on a tactical pen?
>>32968475

Looking cool in EDC threads.

How can people fall for such retarded marketing?
Maybe we need to abolish the FDA so natural selection takes its course through snake oil and witch doctors.
>>32968590
>He doesn't slam his pen closed like an mp5 when hes done using it.
unless you work in an office building suddenly swarmed by anarchist/terrorist with guns i don't see why you would need one, even less in a situation where you're not in position to fight.
don't you guys just have concealed pistols or something
>>32965413
>Year of our Lord 2017

>>32965413
I don't carry a tactical pen because I'm not a fucking mouth-breather.
Shit like this >>32965749 and the fact that having a ~*~*~tactical~*~*~ pen establishes intent. Meaning if I get into a fight and somehow it turns into a, "well HE started it!" pissing match, I'm suddenly closer to being fucked in court.
It's like walking around with brass knuckles, you're a retard or a nigger if you do it.
Thing is if you carry a fisher space pen it works just fine as a kubotan (protip: this is what a tactical pen emulates) and doesn't actually suck at the job of being a pen.
Stop buying this overpriced "tactical" horseshit because if you're caught using it you'll probably wind up in jail. Oh! And a fisher space pen comes with a surefire way to justify why you have it: "it's a space pen, the astronauts use it, it'll always work so I always carry it." Bam. Nobody can question that 100% retarded but also sound logic.
>>32971001
Tactical pens usually use the space pen inserts. Even the $20 UZI ones do, and that's cheaper than a metal Fisher.
>tactical pen establishes intent
You're fucking retarded. As stupid as the people who say taking out a magazine disconnect "safety" will get you fucked if you use the gun in self defense.
>>32971001
Do you carry a knife or a gun?
>>32965413
i have one of these for travelling, keep a little notebook with it. screwcap is good and the bamboo style makes for a decent grip.
All this bullshit and no one posted the space pen?
Its writes under water and in fucking space! how can you get a more /K/ pen than that?
>>32972545
Usually tacticool pens use space pen cartridges

holy fuck right in the nostalgia.
>>32967988
>$85 for a pen
>>32971120
>You're fucking retarded.
You have no room to talk, if you don't understand what intent means please by all means have fun with your super cool tactical pen that you used to shank a guy outside of a 7/11. Then when the DA hears the word "tactical" and you get slapped with attempted manslaughter I'll laugh.
>>32971551
Absolutely, but I can argue that my gun is a defensive weapon and I'm a perfectly normal, sane person who just happens to be a gun owner. I'm not some wannabe Rambo running around with scary babykilling tactical gear that's designed to kill innocent bystanders.
The only people who use that stuff clearly have PTSD/inadequacy issues/psychopathy/sociopathy/etc etc and I'm just a normal guy who works a normal job in a normal life. I fired my gun in self defense, I was in fear for my life!
Difference between me and a guy decked out in a bunch of """tactical""" crap is I can demonstrate normalcy and sanity.
The law is not and never will be on your side. It's by design trying to prove you're a shithead, so don't make it easy.

hello fellow 90's child
This one...
I believe some of you might know it as well as I do X^(
Let's just say it's prone to accidents and made by blind people.
>>32967818
Fisher actually developed the pen in search of the ultimate ink pen. Then he sold them to NASA. I have one, they write like an average ball point but they are ultra reliable no matter how there are stored or what environment you are in. They work from -35 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, without gravity and also underwater.
>>32973678

A Mathew Martin 400 series, all Titanium and Carbon Fiber. Uses the Fisher Space cartridge. Sorry no better pic, can't take one atm.
I don't consider it really "tactical" but I guess it's in the same general category, using the Fisher Space cartridge.
>>32965886

I'd saying carrying a fucking gun establishes intent a lot better than your choice in pen.
>>32975060
>I'd saying carrying a fucking gun establishes intent a lot better than your choice in pen.
Here's what you're not getting, I'll quote myself: >>32973790
>Difference between me and a guy decked out in a bunch of """tactical""" crap is I can demonstrate normalcy and sanity.
It's no secret that people carry guns for self-defense. Millions of people do it every day, it's been in popular culture for centuries, and in many states it's a constitutional right. Meanwhile a purpose-built ~tactical~ melee weapon is going to be looked at like you're some kind of maniac who was looking for a fight. You don't have an explicit right to carry around some deadly, menacing weapon that's masquerading as a pen.
These things get confiscated all the fucking time because autistic retards don't understand that image is very important. They carry a big chunk of stabby metal into a hospital or airport and don't understand why this is frowned upon, and they'll screech and cry about how it isn't fair.
Meanwhile somebody like me leaves his gun at the security checkpoint and walks in with his neato all-metal nerd pen. That pen is in every way the same thing as the $200 dollar autism stick that got stolen from Donald the Dumbfuck and Sheldon Shitforbrains.
Again, the law is NOT on your side. It is designed to prove you're guilty.
Really simple stuff here.
>>32975243
I'm assuming your opinion of pens carries into knives as well. Do you carry a knife?
>>32975351
>I'm assuming your opinion of pens carries into knives as well. Do you carry a knife?
Only if it's unreasonable, having a knife can be explained away if it's something sensible. Then it's a tool, not a ~tactical~ weapon. I carry a multitool, I don't really need or want a fixed blade on my person. I have two in my vehicle, one in the bag and one for the vehicle itself.
>>32967393
Nice. I used to carry them but they are too dangerous IMO
>>32965483
I carry two. Ultra bold point 1mm for carbon copies and quickly scribbling signatures on multiple pages. Ultra fine 0.38mm for everything else.
Fucking love them.
>>32975417
Maybe I'm wrong but if you were to ever use a knife or a pen in a self defense situation I would think a jury would take more kindly to a pen being used. If you had a pen and a knife, and you used a pen, then the fact that you used a less lethal option should be smiled upon.
