DO IT. Get out of infantry before it ruins your life. I was mechanized infantry with 1st AD. All the training, running, marching, battle drills and cramming into IFVs slowly destroyed my body.

6 years in infantry and I have the following problems because of it:
>stress fractures in shins, now my legs hurt when I run
>bad knees
>bad hips
>back pain
>neck pains
>shoulder problems
>broken collar bone

not to mention all the fun stuff like getting shot at, nightmares about snipers, watching a good friend die, and remembering the faces of every single person I had to shoot, including a boy no older than 12.
