Im going to take the bait...u fucking ruined it. Aftermarket mags jam way too much and since the sks was designed to have the mag both latched into the receiver latch AND pressed into the trigger pin tacticool sks's will always be shittier than stock ones. Its just awefull op. Id say kill yourself but its likely it will just blow up in your face anyway and save me the trouble of conscience

One of my friends did the exact same thing to his SKS.
Kept telling him over and over, "just save up and get an AK if that's what you really want, but if you do get an SKS get a Chinese or Soviet one, not the yugo"

So what does he do? Goes out and pays $350 for a beat up well used shit bore Yugo SKS with a shitty sport stock.
Then he proceeded to buy a TAPCO stock, foregrip, 20rd tapco magazines, mag release, etc etc had to buy a new gas tube to fit in shit stock, now the latch wont even stay latched, and mounts a scope of the dust cover just like i told him he shouldn't do.

I spent a good month of giving him advice on rifles and such, how to order what he wanted, what not to buy, and the guy goes out and pays over price doing exactly what I told him not to do and ends up paying more than what he would have had he just bought a WASR10, and he still thinks he got a good rifle.

If you're reading this JT, your rifle looks like a nigger rifle.

What's the consensus on pic related? I've heard that the magazine feeding issues were from specific shitty types of mags and not a general rule. I grew up with an sks (my grandfathers) in this basic configuration and put thousands of rounds of Tula through it without any issues. I'm looking to buy one of my own partly because of the childhood sentiment. Aks are not an option either.
