Its not, Russia is buying the Yak-130 as a L-39 replacement, and marketing the Yak-130 as a cheap ground attack aircraft to poorer countries.
The Su-34 is eventually going to replace the Su-25, which will remain in service for at least 10 more years.

On the one hand, I'm sad to see it go. The SU-25 isn't the prettiest bird, but she has charm.

On the other hand, A-10 production ended in fucking 1984, and we've still got those flying. Probably there'll be SU-25s flying well into the 2050s

Not sure what OP meant by 'was pulled out of mass production', since it hasn't been in production (out side of a handful of left over air frames in Georgia) for well over 20 years. And the SM upgrade is still being rolled out.
