Even though I really respect vets, this kinda rustles me. Just because you served in the military doesn't mean you know everything about guns, nor does it make your opinion any stronger if you cant back it up.

I mean they definitely know how to care for them and use them, but it doesn't make you an EXPERT on EVERYTHING because boot camp told you so.

the "muh military" types that show up at my lgs all seem to be the dregs of society anyway. it's not like they joined out of a sense of duty or service to the country, they just seem like they were too retarded to even enter the workforce. they never buy anything and they say the most retarded shit like "only veterans should be able to own ar15's" etc. they also always like to subtly announce to the world that they served by throwing shit out like "huh huh well BACK IN THE SANDBOX xyz". and some, i assume, are good people.

Why though?

Nobody who could afford a nuke would use it.

If you sell something like an anti-tank missile someone might be able to buy it that would actually want to blow shit up with it, but you sell a nuke, who the fuck is even going to buy it besides some eccentric billionaire who thinks it would look good on his lawn?

Chemical weapons meanwhile can just be made in your garage anyways so who gives a shit if someone can buy them? Their loss.

Actually nuclear weapons are commercially available.
All our warheads are replaced every 3 years with new ones constructed by, installed by, and purchased from 3 companies operating out of a few complexes of buildings just a few miles apart in New England.
It isn't actually illegal to own a nuclear device, you would just have to pay for a tax stamp.
The problem is that fissionable nuclear materials are tightly controlled, and the exact recipe for a bomb isn't something that you can easily get, so they aren't illegal, you just can't have one.

Not to be a faggot or anything, but complying with range rules and letting the authorities of the range make sure you're complying with them is extremely important. A while back, someone burnt down the Camp Allen USMC base's range by using tracers or incendiaries. The entire thing had to be refurbished because one asshole didn't comply with the rules that were on the mandatory test. A while afterwards, me and my father went to the range to blow off some steam, and someone was being a little shit about the RO wanting to check his rounds. When he asked why the RO had to check, my dad nearly angrily blurted out "so we don't burn down the range again."

If you ever want some real priceless reactions from RO and Fudds take a rifle or shotgun with double triggers to the range.
I was accused multiple times of having illegally modified my 12gauge to fire both barrels at once.
Another time I took my styer with set triggers out and they inspected it and didn't know what a set trigger was.

OK, if you wanna swing dick, let's go. To make sarin you need methylphosphonyl difluoride. You can not order that shit because it has almost no use outside of sarin gas. Tell me how and what you'd 'refine' it out of.

If it was that fuckin easy, we'd have more terrorist attacks in modern times using nerve agents. Instead, we've only really seen it from despots who have the infrastructure to support real chemical plants.

Fun as a thought experiment, but the author glossed over the truth: Try ordering any decent stock of either hydrochloride or N,N-dimethylethanolamine. Here's what will happen: Unless you work in a lab where you can prove the absolute necessity of them, you won't get shit, and you'll be put on a watchlist. Even if you do work in a lab where you can prove its necessity and what process you'll need it for, the quantity you'll be able to buy is minuscule and you won't be able to make any real amount of the nerve agents.

Actually order schedule controlled chemicals, and you'll see.

First off, it doesn't matter for consumer pieces.

It matters for importers, "manufacturers" that gut existing guns to make 'new' ones, and commercial sellers.

No one is going to come knocking on your door unless you're planning on selling the gun for a profit, at which point it apparently becomes .gov business.

Except no.

He nationalized all kinds of industries.

He subsidized lives, just only those he deemed worthy.

He redistributed lands and wealth to better represent 'a perfect Germany.'

Hitler's own words: "From the camp of bourgeois tradition, it takes national resolve, and from the materialism of the Marxist dogma, living, creative Socialism"

Goebbels was a radical anticap, largely fueling his antisemitism.

blah blah

etc etc.

It was a far cry from Russian communism, but it was DEFINITELY socialist.

No. Aside from the fact that's pretty much impossible, letter of the law wouldn't even apply.

List of parts that count, keeping in mind that 922r only applies to semiautos:
(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings, or castings.
(2) Barrels.
(3) Barrel extensions.
(4) Mounting blocks (trunnions).
(5) Muzzle attachments.
(6) Bolts.
(7) Bolt carriers.
(8) Operating rods.
(9) Gas pistons.
(10) Trigger housings.
(11) Triggers.
(12) Hammers.
(13) Sears.
(14) Disconnectors.
(15) Buttstocks.
(16) Pistol grips.
(17) Forearms, handguards.
(18) Magazine bodies.
(19) Followers.
(20) Floor plates.

Notice that several components overlap, such as the magazine being several separate parts. (The major reason US-made AK mags are popular for Saiga/Vepr owners).

If you've got no more than 10 foreign parts, you're good to go.

are you fucking stupid or just one of these neo-Marxist larpers

what do you think the nationalization of industries in leftist socialist looks like? Do "the people" just stream in and set up shop? No. A centralized regime, acting with a mandate of varying legitimacy, uses the power of the state to forcibly appropriate private property. Just like what they did. That is Socialism. Forcible appropriation of private capital by the State in the "interests" of the People. That is the definition, or at least a major part of it.

The problem is always that the State gets to decide what the "interests of the People" are, and eventually the organs of the State become removed from the actual will of the People.

Every time.

I was literally about to correct >>32920643 on this.
You cannot have more than 10 of 20 designated foreign made parts on certain rifles, of which magazines make up three.
(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings or stampings
(2) Barrels
(3) Barrel extensions
(4) Mounting blocks (trunions)
(5) Muzzle attachments
(6) Bolts
(7) Bolt carriers
(8) Operating rods
(9) Gas pistons
(10) Trigger housings
(11) Triggers
(12) Hammers
(13) Sears
(14) Disconnectors
(15) Butt stocks
(16) Pistol grips
(17) Forearms, hand guards
(18) Magazine bodies
(19) Followers
(20) Floorplates
You'll find that most rifles do not have all 20 of these parts. On an AK, for example, you can be 922(r) compliant even with commie magazines just by replacing the three furniture pieces and a US-made trigger, with one to spare if you have a US-made barrel.

Those chemical weapons you listed are memes, and you know it too, man. There's a reason why ordering shit that can make mustard gas is easy but anything you could feasibly derive into nerve agents is practically impossible. The dispersal, absorption method, and lethality of mustard gas can't compare to what nerve agents can do. You can piss on a rag and use it as a makeshift gas mask for mustard gas, any of the nerve agents is readily absorbed through the skin, so you're in for a bad time if you don't have NBC gear.

>>32943434
I assume you mean an average individual making precursors for nerve agents? Anything that could even remotely be turned into the main necessary precursor for sarin gas, even with a well equipped chemistry lab, is so fuckin' controlled you have no idea. And to straight up synthesize something like hydrochloride or N,N-dimethylethanolamine without a closely related compound (because those are all tightly regulated as well), you'd need something on the scale of a chemical plant, and all the money and chem. eng. skill necessary. So, it's not really viable.
>>
>>32943636
>average
We went over this, if someone is smart enough they can do it, the thing is Ahmed with a chemical engineering degree is drinking whiskey and smoking cigars while donating a couple thousand a year to a shell charity for a terror group if he is smart enough to get a degree and wants to help kill infidels, Abu Haajar pumping gas and wanting those 72 virgins isn't smart enough for that shit and can't process anything more complicated than 'snackbar and push button' hence why I say it's POSSIBLE but slim it would happen. The Aums made it in a fucking farmhouse in the countryside, it was shit and poor quality but it was enough to kill 12 people and poison hundreds more.

Also if your lungs start burning and skin blistering your first instinct isn't to piss into a rag, it's run for the doors and claw at your rapidly filling lungs. A terror attack doesn't need to kill anyone, it needs to make people scared and uncertain.

By all means post more smug Anime faces like that means anything you retarded weeb.
>>
>>32943636
Interesting, I see that the government was truly scared shitless of nerve agents, considering how difficult they are to defend against its understandable. Hopefully they aren't becoming complacent in preventing their use. After reading about the nuclear boy scout (you should if you haven't) I'm convinced we should never underestimate the ability of a driven and intelligent individual to do things considered impossible.

So if you want to say that if you had an entire plant, and all the funding required, then sure, you're just described Saddam Hussein. But that isn't a fuckin' garage, and if you were actually in chemistry, you'd know how locked up this shit actually is.

Yeah, I agree on the terrorist part, IRA did a lot with a bunch of shitty bombs. Fear is powerful for terrorism, but the restrictions on chemical weapons are based more on lethality and the other possible uses of the chemical precursors.

At the time of the Aum attacks, the controls on schedule 1 precursors was relatively lax. The actual processes they did weren't very difficult, since they had closely related compounds. These are the same fuckers who couldn't properly machine an auto sear.

and here's another smug anime face, m8

>>32943897
I'm not the poster and if some mentally ill graduate students could do it in a farmhouse then someone can do it in thier garage in the countryside

The Aums used schedule 3 phosphorus trichloride to make their dimethylethanolamine and making that would be a matter of tracking back to figuring out how to reflux the reaction of white phosphorus and chlorine. The only thing stopping someone from making thier shitty sarin is the desire to not die a terrible and painful death.

And the reason they couldn't figure out autosears is because they didn't have an engineer and there wasn't much info on them back in the 90s and there wasn't anywhere they could actually fiddle around with it because Japan is nogunz so attempts would be easily detected.

https://www.opcw.org/news/article/the-sarin-gas-attack-in-Japan-and-the-related-forensic-investigation/
>>
>>32944010
Not trying to be a total asshole, but have you ever had to deal with ordering schedule 3 precursors before? It's a nightmare. You have to fill out more paperwork, background checks, etc. than imaginable.

Like I said, I'm not disagreeing that the process of actually synthesizing it once you have the precursors is particularly hard.

As the article you posted said, he had many large shell corporations he used to amass the quantity of phosporus trichloride necessary. So, having the resources to have multiple shell corporations purchase quantities of a very controlled precursor isn't really "make it in your garage" tier to me.

>>32944127
You're moving the goalposts from schedule 1 to the difficulty of getting schedule 3 and I already said it's possible to make that with a widely avalible precursor of white phosphorus and chlorine. It will take time and money but if you find an Arab sugar daddy you could have enough made to pull off a similar attack in a matter of years, less if you can figure how to extract precursors from commercial herbicides.

We're in agreement that it is hard as shit but I'm arguing that even without commercial precursors you can do it and with better planning you can be just as or more deadly than them with less.

Lack of will to live, smarts and just the right amount of insanity you can make anything.

I mentioned it because the Aum did not synthesize their own phosphorus trichloride, they bought drums of it.

>Synth. it yourself
That's where the whole 'chemical plant' thing comes in. phosphorus trichloride is extremely toxic and corrosive, and the industrial process to synth and separate out the PCl3 would take to my knowledge a phosphorus melting device, a chlorine vaporizer, a chlorination reactor, a washing tower, a condenser, and a phosphorus trichloride storage tank. And none of that is some garage level shit. That's full on chemical plant.
