Can /k/ recommend me a carry handle mounted optic for my colt

Although it isn't the cutting edge of optics technology anymore, the Colt 4x20 carry handle scope they made back in the day can take a real beating and keep going. Also, they're still not too terribly expensive if you look around

I'm thinking this is too expensive. It would be nice to have a matching colt accessory however. I found "BARSKA 4x20 Electro Sight Scope M-16 Riflescope" on amazon for 60 bucks and I think I may get that.

The Colt is not a bad scope by any means though.

Apex gun parts has some old Israeli M16 sights, ranging from fair to good. I don't know if they're listed online, but you could call and ask. They're copies of the colt sights people are suggesting.

I know they have them, I work there. I don't know the prices, but they'll be semi competitive.

Just leave the gun alone unless you're going to pay for a quality optic. I don't care if you use a rail or not, but please don't buy the cheapest scope you can find. There's a reason quality glass is expensive. Buying cheap shit that breaks will lead you to buying more cheap shit that breaks and ultimately you'll spend more on cheap shit than you would a quality optic.

If you look around you might be able to snag a Hakko 4x20 scope or a CMO 4x20, both built by the same company and Hakko built a number of the Colt scopes back in the 1970's.

Otherwise your options are limited as far as carry handle optics go, for an era correct rifle you could snag one of the rare S&K M16 mounts and throw a glossy Redfield scope on the rifle, YMMV and your cheek weld will be terrible unless you track down an old Delta riser.
