Hm. It's your call on buying used guns sight unseen. Personally, I'm not fans of full-sized revolvers in .38. I'd go either snubbing, or full-size .357. S&W makes great revolvers though, and if you're seriously considering getting one, I'd buy one new. A S&W is something you can pass down the line to your family. It would be worth saving up a few extra dineros because at $650, you're not too far off.
