The gas block was held with set screws the FSP was a clamp on Yankee Hill. I regretted it because it looked like a toy, it was too light, and it function issues from the gas port being undersized. Overall I just got a bad vibe from it and ditched it. I tend to be rough on weapons, I wanted a rifle that fit that in my personality. I'm pretty happy now.
If you do decide to dissy it up, go with pinned.

$600 for a used USP9 is bretty average, but 5 mags, 3 holsters and only 500 rds down the pipe means you are getting a lot of good out of it. Not familiar with those sights he listed, but if they are better than stock that's a bonus too.
Good deal/10. If you want a USP9 you would be hard pressed to do better. Especially with 5 fucking mags.

You're definitely right on the aesthetics front, but the A2 guards are just too practical to pass up.
Cheap, lightweight, shield from heat well. Plus, I like the way they look.

The only thing I intend to add to the handguard is a light, which is doable with A2s.

thats one thicc barrel
No bully, but other than cost and weight, what's the reason to ever get a fixed power acog when the vcog or other 1-X scopes exist?
It gives you the ability to make close range shots if needed, and still make distance shots with the same magnification or more
Why were people saying not to get Holosun earlier.
They're not fucking airsoft optics, are they? It seemed good. Does someone have a bad experience with them?
>>32916037
I'm the excel cunt that posted >>32916040 as well so take this with a grain of salt, but fixed I would think would be absolutely consistent. If you put your eye to the scope, you know what you're going to be looking at.
That's what I THINK anyway, though. I have a variable with mildots for my Mini-14 because I'd rather be able to set my magnification for expected range and use irons for anything else. I greatly prefer irons and so actually never even mount the scope. It's part of why a red dot is all I want for the AR15 even though it's potentially extremely accurate.
>>32916037
Weight and compact size are a big bonus. You also get arguably the most bomb-proof magnified optic on the market. Clones and the .mil appeal sell a lot of units as well. Few optics have been as proven in the field as the ACOG.
I agree though, low power variables are the future.
>>32916037
well cost and weight are pretty important
The problem with 1-x scopes is that you can't really change the power fast enough to react to targets at different ranges
The acog is going to be lighter, more compact, durable, and have a MUCH bigger fov
Plus it's not too hard to hit things with the acog at close range especially when you have iron sights or a red dot you can use at the same time

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-SPR-Mk-12-Mod-Bravo-1R-KAC-RAS-p/bcm-urg-mk12-1%20ras.htm
That should tell you everything you need. It's a pretty standard Mk12 Mod 1, save for it used BCM's 1:8 SS410 precision barrel as opposed to the .mil standard Douglas 1:7 SS barrel. As far as needing a special barrel for the ops inc 12th model brake and collar, no it should fit/work on a variety of barrels.

Do you happen to know how much length an HK style 3-lug adds? Right now I've got a 4.25" rail and a 5.5" barrel. 3/4" of barrel sticks past the rail. With a can direct threaded on, there is a 1/4" gap between the rail and the can. I'd like to do a 3 lug since I am doing an Uzi build right now and want to suppress it in the future as well. I plan on having quite a few little 9mm subguns so I'd like a universal adapter rather than constantly direct threading.
With this rifle I'd like to keep the proportions similar but I'm now sure how deep cans usually go on a 3 lug

Don't get a UBR or Troy flash suppressor. They are memes. Smith Vortex, B.E. Meyers 249F, and YHM Phantom are the best flash hiders.
Don't get a solar powered Holosun, they are know to not be 100% reliable. Get a HS503GU instead.
Don't buy a complete rifle just to change every part on it. Also M4 feed ramps are the standard, you actually have to go out of your way to find an upper with standard rifle feed ramps
I recommend MOE SL furniture, it's much more comfy and AESTHETIC.

Have to get that Troy flash suppressor for the memes, but also because it's supposed to be highly effective. I've seen zero other people actually prove it bad and seen many prove it good. Some lumens tests, it was like .53 or something. Unless all those sites are 100% shilling it at least does its job, but the main reason I'm getting it is MGS4 which is why it's got an MGS4 reference in the Notes column.
The UBR I'm not dead set on, I just happen to like it the most out of the adjustable stocks so far. What I really like are fixed stocks, but the utility of an adjustable stock to adapt to clothing thickness/armor, stow it in a car, etc seems too good to pass up. Seems beefy and I like that the cheek area is static. Do you have a better one in mind? Why is the UBR so bad? It's very polarizing, I'm seeing on here.

>>32917243
Nah, looking at images the MOE SL handguard is not triangular at all. more like a pentagon. The whole reason I'm going with the MOE handguard is for that triangle, otherwise I'd just put a FF quadrail on there and call it good. Probably KAC to meme it up a little more MGS4 style and because it has a great rep.

There is SO MUCH data on this topic. The 3 flash hiders I recommended are all superior to the Troy(BE Meyers is currently he king of all flash hiders). This is indisputable.
>Could you point me towards where you learned that? I'd like to make sure that I can trust the company at all
Youtube video torture testing and there are also numerous articles and reviews that have highlighted the problems with the solar version. There is even a video where a Holosun rep has said that the standard versions are more reliable.
>Is it still triangular-ish, regarding the handguard?
It is but it's not as pronounced. I prefer it.
whats up fuckers, i told you im here forever.
>>32917357

>>32917243
I like my UBR. It is EXTREMELY heavy compared to pretty much any other collapsible stock though, and I think it would be unsuited to anything other than an SPR or if you had a particularly long and heavy suppressor.
Rifle balance, while nice, is relatively unimportant compared to total rifle weight. You're not going to be standing around with your rifle shouldered NOT shooting it. I got mine because I put it on an SPR-style rifle with an 18" heavy barrel, and it balances nicely. But I didn't get it for the balance, I got it for the ability to use a rear monopod with it (either railmount on the strike plate, or bipod stud with a bipod stud screwed into the toe, which is what I did) without the weight or difficult to adjust LOP of the PSR stock.
The UBR is polarizing because of two (three) reasons
>weight
This is the valid reason, but saying the UBR is categorically shit because it's heavy is a hell of a stretch. It has niche scenarios where it really shines, like mine.
>looks
Some think it's ugly.
>(some autists reee at the fact it doesn't belong on any .mil rifle clones and thus "must be shit")

I believe you, but if the Troy is good and lets me meme, I'm into it. It's gotta stay, but I know you're giving good intel.
>Torture tests
Thanks a ton, dude. I was specifically trying to find torture tests and couldn't. What the fuck is wrong with me? As long as the reps admit it, I guess I can trust the company a bit more, but I wish it were noted on the page. What's your opinion of open/reflex vs tube?
>Handguard
I respect that, but I'm more into a big and obvious triangle. Until the MOE was discovered to be obviously triangular, I was planning to get an A1 and a freefloat tube, cut the A1 to fit it, and then put that shit on an M16-style rifle.
>>32917357
I don't get it.

Thanks for this info, that really opened my eyes on the matter. Is there another stock that you would recommend that accomplishes the objective of durability and a static cheek area?

I'm positive that a romance mod would be able to be created. There's ones like Willow from New Vegas for example. If the VA was good enough, she could re-record all of Reilly's original dialogue so that it would seem organic when going into the new content.
I might paint a magazine or two with a RR decal now that I think of it.
The longer I spend here, the stronger, lighter, and cheaper my rifle gets. Thanks again, genuinely, for all the help people.

This specific side rail so great. It has a track the attaches to your ban and jerry's rail and the design prevents stress from being placed on the charging handle itself even if you stand on the handle with the rifle muzzle-up. If it breaks, it becomes a regular charging handle. I'll find a yt video.
