I'm 20 and I bought mine private sale.

That's really the only way you're gonna (legally) obtain a handgun under 21.

I have to buy ammo private sale too so you might just wanna wait until you're 21.

just tell the seller out right you're of legal age for private sales but not for ffl sales and link the law. I bought my first handgun before i was 21 (which also happened to be a cz82). I just had to find a seller who was comfortable with it which wasnt surprisingly hard. A lot of people know the law only applies to FFL sales

only legal ways to get one under 21 is by getting it gifted or by private sale. find someone on armslist or at a funshow... or give your mom some money for "room and board" which is equivalent to whatever the cost of the gun is and see if she'll do it that way
