What does /k/ think of the arsenal of the Secret Service?
>>
I'll take three of each por favor.
>>
USSS also use AT-4 rocket launchers if the rumors are to be believed
>>
>>32910636
They have MP5/10's as well.
>>
Don't forget the minigun they allegedly have in one of the motorcade's SUVs.
>>
>>32910715
Wouldnt be surprised
When they have a convoi in a foreing countrie they have at least 2 Apaches with them

Wouldn't the micro's be more concealable for them?

The little-known Knights Armaments Company SR-16 is the current standard issue rifle of the SS. Replaced the M4 in recent years. For concealed carrying purposes the Tavor X95 is also becoming popular

Lots of people are mistaking the SR-16 for the HK-416A5 though.
>>
>>32910745
Source for that?
>>
>>32910864
this. Polish GROM also had them for a brief period. Switched to the 416 because they couldn't get guns shipped back and forth with the US rapidly enough for maintenance.
>>
>>32910636
How else can they confiscate my counterfeit bills without all their guns being better than mine
>>
>>32910636
If I decide to kill the president I'll let you know ATF. But your job security is pretty safe. Donald Trump is our president.
>>
>>32910636
fuck the arsenal, I want the SekritSquirrel HEAP ammo they use. Also, you forgot the Minimi, M134 and 240Bigbitch
>>
As someone that's fired full auto MP5, Tommy gun, and SCAR-L, shit has to REALLY hit the fan to whip such a weapon out. I also think the MP5 is heavily outdated with what is available. The MP5 was harder to control than the older Tommy gun. The SCAR was easy, but obviously, the biggest and heaviest. A handgun provides the protection most agents might ever need, assuming they are properly trained. The lessers trained guys should rock 870's or Mossbergs with buckshot.
>>
>>32910857
micros are perfect, the others are just added weight and bulk. going from a 4" barrel to a 10.2" barrel is negligible (1148fps vs 1312fps). that guy is just an idiot.
>>
I can't imagine how many high profile, low profile, and undercover secret agents that are around the Pres. His wife, daughter, etc. With roughly half the nation against them. Makes you wonder about agents that don't entirely approve of them. I wonder what kind of briefing or interviews they go through, and how they keep them on check ya know? I would imagine military experience a good, and bad thing for Secret Service agents.

an MP5 with wood furniture

no but really, there's plenty of 5.56 carbines and sub-carbines that are more effective against body armor than a pistol SMG. The issue is recoil control, which I believe are fixed with a simple side-venting muzzle brake.

The weird ass 5.7mm is approved of, but the P90 has quirks. An AR15 pistol with sling can be pretty effective, while being compact. I'd imagine something can be made, that's more compact than an M4, and easily be 100% all around superior to the MP5.

I'm just saying, when I went to Gun Garage in Las Vegas, I shot tons of guns. From my Vidya gamez, I thought the Mp5 was a smooth cycling, accurate, easily to control machine. most of my bursts were from 3-4 rounds, and maybe a few up to 6 at a time, It was more like how I imagined a Mac-10. Rough and rickety. The SCAR-L is a very state of the art weapon. It stays where you want it to. It fires as fast or slow as you want to. (Short bursts or w/e you want)
>>
>>32912873
SCAR was super plasticy but the design made it very controllable.

Also shot a suppressed HK Mk.23, with the suppressor blocking the sights, and still managed multiple bullseyes. :)
>>
>>32910636
is that the actual optic they use on the P90? if so, what's it called?
>>
>>32912873
NINE POUNDS? I shot a fucking short stubby barrel one with a stock that was more like a wire clothes hanger than the full blown 9lb thing you're thinking of. Go to gun garages website and see.
>>
>>32912873
Also my buddies shot the tommy gun accurate as fuck too. It has a very misleading reputation. It was controllable. You play too many gamez and watch too many movies. Go spent a couple hundred bucks and shoot the real things faggot. I thought the .45acp was gonna be rough but it really, truly, was not hard recoiling or difficult to control compared to the MP5.
>>
>>32913036
>couple hundred bucks

What did you thinks of my posts, faggot? Okay, so maybe the MP5 with suppressor, and full solid stock is a nice, controllable defensive weapon. But at that point it's too big. The stubby barrel, wire stock one that I shot SUCKED. I also really like wood guns. Got anymore shit to talk?
>>
>>32913055
How much do they charge for a package that includes browning 1919, m249 saw, desert eagle, scar, tommy, mp5, krinkov, AND A .50 BMG?

Don't even bring up $, you can't even fathom what I spent the rest of my weekend in Vegas.

Just wanted to critique a very well funded organization with an important job, for using the MP5 in this day and age. Heck, they probably don't, and OP could have just slapped that picture on there. I just don't like the gun after firing one, when before, I liked it a lot because of COD4.

Copfag here.

They do in fact have those.

When trump was campaigning, my city was one of his stops. Got to do motorcade escort and stuff. Shit was cash.

It's basically a tripod mounted 240 where the third row seat would be. Nothing fancy that pops out the top or anything. If they need to, they just shot through the rear windows.

There's a bulletproof dividing wall between the second row seating and the gun, so the passenger compartment is still protected.

I can't begin to imagine firing that thing, just a bunch of EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

MP5 is outdated in the age of 10.3 ARs. But it's fun as fuck to shoot. Why don't you like it?
>>
>>32914612
Oh yes.

Surprised that it is some of the more mundane departments that have the biggest hardware huh?

Thats why Nuclear security have shit like miniguns and grenade launchers too. A good way to make up for the relatively low combat operations of elite formations is to maximize firepower and training as well as poaching from more veteran formations like the military or the fbi.

Hell the CIA hid their A-12 spy fleet under the banner of the department of energy too, and some of their prototypes even had missiles and shit.
>>
>>32912779
In the subgun realm, not much. The MP5SD or MP5A5 is pretty much the pinnacle of submachinegun design. You're looking at stepping up to an SBR carbine in an intermediate rifle round to get a meaningful performance boost, and that comes with drawbacks of its own.
>if only they were a little easier to service...
Kind of a moot point for a federal LE agency with some of the best armorers in the world though.

However, the machine pistol has long been favored by protective details the world over (micro uzi, Beretta 93r, skorpion, etc) for a reason, and with the proliferation of machine pistols in nontraditional calibers like 4.6x33, 6.5CBJ,etc that offer pretty good armor penetration and a significantly extended effective range, I'd personally go with a select fire version of one of these in lieu of a traditional handgun. Use it as a sidearm paired with a full-sized carbine. I'm 100% positive they have MP7's and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had BT9's or select fire TMP's.
>>
>>32915427
>In the subgun realm, not much.
I disagree. The new "PDW" stuff is clearly superior, performance wise. Rather have an MP7 or P90 before an MP5.
>>
>>32913036
Well no shit the Thompson's controllable. It's heavy as hell and has a retardedly low rate of fire.
>>
>>32913189
There's a difference between having it in inventory, and actively using it.

Also, that pic is old as shit.
>micro uzi
>no MP7

>no SMAW-D
>McMillan Tac-50 instead of AI AT50
>five-seven still on it
>no G26/33
>no M110
>no mk12mod1
>>
>>32915446
MP7 is a machine pistol, regardless of what marketing hype is trying to tell you, and I covered that in the machine pistol section.

P90 is inferior to an MP7 at armor penetration and concealability and inferior to an SBR'd carbine at everything but concealability, it falls solidly in the realm of mediocrity and has been totally upstaged by newer guns.
>>
Personally I like the idea of the ultra small caliber 4.6mm 5.7mm PDW guns. .45acp vector? Lulz.

Interesting weapon choices
I imagine they also use smaller point defense weapons more then rifles and shotguns
But im more curious about would be attackers
Has anyone ever tried assassinating with a gun in a camera/video recorder?
I could imagine a small handgun could fit inside one, how effective would that be?
>>
>>32915596
Everything gets X-rayed, airport style.

You're not getting a commercially produced firearm within 100 yards of the president without inside help.
