I actually want to step forward and defend this. Allow me the chance to logically evaluate it before disregarding my effort

It appears to be an M14/M1A, so I assume .30-06/.308 with a drum mag. What would that be?40? 50? In terms of firepower, why say no to more ammo before click? Especially in a DMR platform. The cartridge is good for long distance engagements and excels at defeating body armor. I can't say for sure what's on the butt of the stock, so I'm skipping that.

You don't use 40mm HE grenades in close quarters... unless you wanna GET quartered... you use it at medium engagement range, between sniper and combat rifle engagements. So from the distance of a DMR is perfect, allowing you to not only put repeatative highly accurate fire with a slugger of a round, you can also liberate them of their cover or upper halves without worrying about moving away or getting closer.

Will it ever be used for these reasons? No. But fudd here has more firepower and practicality in one rifle than you'd get in 3 guns.

You know those flechette loads for the 40mm? Thats what they did with the flechettes that these guns were supposed to shoot.

Each round fired a sabot encased flechette, which was accurate out to 800 yards and could both penetrate a helmet and kill somebody at that distance. It was just as deadly as a 5.56 because the flechette folded on itself.
