depends on the mag and how you did it, but probably not

really depends on the range, some i've been to the ROs are nosy as fuck, and others they don't really give a fuck

>>

Ive never been questioned about my mags at the range and they arent pinned, my sks is clearly unpinned but if you just load 5rds no one will notice, and usually they wont even 10rds if you just pause after 5

What kind of penalty would one incure if an RO did notice?
>>
>>32904865
Depends on the RO obviously. So depending on your luck a laugh about it, a hefty bribe or jail time.
>>
>>32904865
depends if they called the cops on you or not

i think either they'd not care if they're that type of guy, or they'd probably tell you to leave and never come back
>>
>>32904889
How much jail time are we talking?
>>
>>32904865
Fudds are more likely to report you, but not unless your outshooting their precious deer riffle
>>
>>32904907
Well if your dump and poor and take a plea, just a hefty fine and they take all your guns and license away for 10 years or forever
>>
>>32904907
depends on how good your lawyer is

the supreme court ruled mandatory sentence for prohibited devices to be unconstitutional

if you had no priors, probably a slap on the wrist, might lose your guns and license, all depends how the police conducted their search, if they actually caught you with the unpinned mag etc

That really was a nice post, anon. Unfortunately, I can’t be bothered to dignify it. Why, you may ask? Well, I must inform you that in the span of glancing at your post, I have ejaculated about five times to a rather enthralling hentai called ‘Emergence’. The way the hentai depicts the gradual process of a virgin becoming a cum dumpster really made me erect. Hell, I haven’t gotten that aroused since Anton Yelchin’s death. Anyways, this girl gets raped by her drunk father and has sex with all the boys at school. Now, these parts were perfectly fappable, but the real fun starts when she gets bullied and ostracised from her class. Her downward spiral of drugs and prostitution eventually leads to her becoming a mere shadow of a human being. In her last dying moments as a pregnant prostitute, she dreams of a future with her (would be) daughter. Instead of getting to live that future, she dies alone in a cold room. I swear that last scene will always bring me to ecstasy. Now, if you really want to get my attention, you must commit yourself to reading such refined works as I do. Only then can I consider you my intellectual equal.

Does the RCMP have access to the the list that records which citizens own what R firearms?

I don't want the government knowing what I own, in case laws are changed and they decide to seize out shit because our constitution doesn't protect property rights. Basically so I can deny ever owning R guns if they come to take my shit.

Actually, they got a crew of about 24 guys in Ottawa whose job is purely to surf the net looking for crime, not just illicit images. I can't think of the dept nane right now but back then they were very low key & had procedures set in place to avoid any public mention or limelight during investigations. I think the gun community became aware during the 2008 Ontario case (mentioned below) when someone on CGN got a hold of a copy of the Crown disclosure.

They caught 2 guys in Victoria, BC in 2009 who posted a youtube video of a pair shooting up a couch in the bush with a full-auto AR. No faces shown & no one tipped the RCMP off but they were able to secure a warrant for the IP and went from there.

In 2008-ish a young guy in Ontario born a little late to get in on the early (now prohib) fun decided if he can't buy them he'd make them. He turned out manmade fully functioning exact replicas of several AK variants. Those that saw them said he had a gift. By all accounts he had no criminal behaviour or history and was a genuine admirer of them very much like a car enthusiast is towards a car engine. Unfortunately he ratted himself out by innocently posting pics of his collection on his FB. A member of that special online crime team found it and cross referenced his name with the CFC & discovered he was not licenced for them. His downfall started there. I believe the treatment this victim received in court was what started the challenge against the min mandatory 3 yr sentence for gun possession.

When the RCMP realized their standard procedure of public demonization & character assassination against the individual failed, they changed their tune & tactics by suggesting the danger to the public if these were to be stolen. Neglecting to realize the guy had a nice gun safe, if his were in danger so would everyone elses.

They tossed a polite young man into the depths of a penitentiary that houses the scum of Canadian society (druggies, murderers, and rapists).

$500
Might come with a sort of okay scope and cheap rings
Workable bolt and action
Finish that may be anywhere from weak to ugly but durable
Almost certainly synthetic furniture
Barrel more than adequate for hitting the good parts of a durr

$1000
Rarely comes with a scope, assumes you'll want to pick your own
Smooth, solid bolt, quality magazine that feeds reliably every time
A nice blued finish
Your choice of synthetic (probably nicer and more rigid than the cheap model) or hardwood stock
Good barrel, should be MOA capable
>>
>>32912484
I don't remember too many specifics, but 'Mad Max' Bernier is definitely pro-firearms. It's almost ironic that O'Leary got in trouble for taking videos of him shooting guns, since he's the big anti-guns conservative. This could work for us, or hurt us, as conservative party voters see it and vote for him as a knee-jerk response without knowing his greater stance on the issue.

Anyway, in better news, it looks like there's a bro-mance developing between the US Defense Secretary and the Canadian Defence Minister.

>Do you know anything about milsurp at all? BBQ >Black paint from re-arsenal process

I guess not, I'm not particularly into soviet surplus and other surplus doesn't typically have these issues as far as i know

the sks's I've bought has matching parts as far as what is stamped (bolt carrier, receiver) and of course some stuff has electropencil from being rearsenaled for things like gas tubes, pistons etc

I didn't realize you meant you were looking for collector reasons, i thought you just meant one of good quality with parts and a barrel in excellent condition

Not sure what the black paint you're referring to is though

I'm not quite sure what it is you're looking for, doesn't every SKS have electropencil on them from being arsenaled after the rifle was phased out?

what was wrong with the ones at lever?
>>
>>32914363
Most electro penciling was from when they pinned the mags. When they pinned them they just took the mags off each gun and pinned them then threw them back on randomly

As a tradesman, I find that the majority of guys in the trades who own guns have them for hunting. When the conversation turns to guns they own, it's almost always a durr rifle or pump shotgun. I've met only a single person who had restricted stuff and was actually into shooting on the regular, but he was kind of a weirdo. Showed me a picture of his .50bmg rifle though, that was pretty neat.

You're really just better off to spend the extra money and eat a well balanced diet. Because if you don't eat properly you're just going to have cravings, and end up spending money on shitty food to satisfy cravings that you can avoid by eating well.
>>
>>32919423
Funnily enough I very rarely get actually hungry. Typically I only eat because I've got so low blood sugar I start having the shakes if I'm left to my own devices.

>Well I also have a live in girlfriend
Interesting.

You have what the RCMP calls a "conjugal partner." The next time you renew your PAL, she has to sign off on your renewal form. If you break up, she still has to sign off on it if it's been less than 2 years since you split.

Well actually, if she doesn't sign off on it, you can still renew (and new applicants can still apply), but the RCMP is gonna have questions for the both of you.
>>
>>32919510

Given the 2 possibilities (teen girls lied or foreign Muslim molested) I would say it's far more likely that the claims are true.
>>
>>32934683
They do. Teen girls from 1st world developed countries also do things that are considered inappropriate in the civilized world. Neither group has any credibility as far as I'm concerned.

>>32934686
Hardly. Teenage girls are just as prone to lying as Muslim 3rd world savages. Nothing is clear-cut here.
>>
>>32934739
>Teen girls are just as prone to lying as 3rd world savages who think it's not only acceptable but a good thing to rape women, particularly if they aren't wearing burkhas, are to rape
Nah, gunna say it's by far more likely that it's the Muslim raping.
>>

Let's wait and see what the trial turns up.

Well that rules you out.
>>
>>32934829
Well, we all allowed to make predictions. Mine is that it's most likely that the 3rd world savage is a rapist.

I've been interested in picking up an 870, and was wondering what was the best choice for one: A police, Wingmaster, or just to cheap out and get an express.
>>
>>32934846
>allowed to make predictions
Yeah, like the time that someone shot up a mosque in Quebec, and /k/ predicted it was 2 refugees.

And then never mentioned it again when it turned out they were wrong. kek
>>
>>32934979
Get a Super Magnum and get a shop to work on it.
>>
>>32934979
Get the express combo, that way you get a slug and a shot barrel.

Or a marine magnum for dat aesthetic.
>>
>>32934533
a teenage girl even looking at a rapey looking creepo guy should be considered sexual assault
>>
>>32935036
To be fair, Muslims shooting up mosques is not exactly without precedent. That shit is a national pastime in the Middle East.

Still doesn't confirm or invalidate any predictions made about this particular case. I don't think the probability swings it either way because both sides have precedents; rapefugees rape all the time, and teen girls falsely accuse all the time.
>>
>>32935054
>>32935076
So the "express will just rust" thing is a meme? I live in the lower BC mainland, by the by.

But it was 2 Muslims with aks as reported by the witnesses/victims.

I am sure it's a false flag OP to gun grab vz58s and to blame gun owners.
>>
>>32935112

I don't disagree at all, honestly. Muslims have been taking as much shit from ISIS as anyone else in that area right now, afterall, so it wouldn't really be unlikely. But neither was a crazy white guy.

I'm mostly just running around /k/ like it's back during the Sandy Hook days... Pop my head in occasionally, avoid the shitstorm, make a funny post once in a while, try not to fly into a rant.

It was initially released to the public that it was 2 Muslims. Blame everyone for believing the media.
>>
>>32935928
Leads me to believe it must have actually been an AK if they haven't come forward and said what it was.
That's the only thing I can think of is them keeping their mouths shut because that rifle was already illegal to own.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too
>>

I also wonder how many mags he brought along. Had to be at least 3 or 4 with the amount of bullet whole and people killed/injured.

If they say it was one mag for his pistol (which apparently was stated to be a 15 round mag which is prohibited) it starts to smell fishy. Especially since his rifle jammed pretty quickly from the sounds of things.
>>
>>32936440

Though, initial reports did say two shooters, so it would make sense that two guns would have been used.

Is it legal to make a militia in canada?

Im legitimately concerned that the bullshittery in america is going to spill over in alberta, and I want to be able to protect my self and others along with other like minded people in an organized fashion.

Or am I going to have to wait for the country to literally collapse before that's an option?

Slamfire? You mean where the action closes and the round is fired because the firing pin is either stuck forward or immediately releasing the firing pin when the action is closed then it's fine if dangerous. Otherwise I have no idea what you're referring to.

I came to this thread specifically for an update. I was reading yesterday on the French sites, but deemed them unreliable because they said he had a "15 round 9mm revolver."

The most reliable story said he had an AK, jammed, he tossed it in the snow, and dumped 2 mags of 9mm in to the guys.

Really strange how they won't talk about the weapons though.
>>
>>32938708
PS, the two shooter thing came from the fact one of the guys who ran out of the mosque tripped near the ditched AK, and that's why they thought he was a second shooter or some such.
>>
>>32938708
Isn't the French language also inherently confusing with firearms terminology?

I've seen sources that say "fusil" is the general term for a firearm (what the English language would all a "firearm" or "gun").

Then there are other sources that say "fusil" is specifically the French word for "shotgun."

It's entirely possible that the French language isn't actually that confusing, and it was just my own liberal public school teachers being dumbasses.

No, long arms synonyms can be pretty confusing.

But they specifically said "revolver" instead of "pistolet," which has the exact same distinction in French as in English.

>..who previously thought the legal system were on their side..

OP here, pretty much this except I wasn't expecting them to be on my side but The System to see the truth & act accordingly & professionally. Too much to expect I guess:

I did not expect a Mountie who claims to be a firearms expert (with no credentials as required to back that up) go up before a judge and say that a .308 to .22 cal conversion kit I had would fit into a .223 deact making it fully functional and full auto (a .308 barrel magically fits in a .223 barrel and removes the deact welds, huh?).

I did not expect the RCMP forensics team (after sending a sample off for ballistics testing) could not ID a common M856 tracer round in spite of the red tip and the headstamp.

I also did not expect the RCMP to take a single .223 round & put it in a mag and place it in my gun safe when I keep all my ammo in a separate safe in a back room. They took pictures of everything and the timestamps show no ammo or mag in my gun safe and then 2 hrs later voila one magically appears. Hmmm...

I also did not expect to be held in a jail cell for 30 hrs without access to a lawyer.

I'll skip over the threats of violence & the physical intimidation details during my interrogation that 1st day but will say that the video & audio records "somehow went missing & are unavailable". Hmmm..

I did not expect to be fed about 160 calories (2 Ego waffles & 6 oz of instant coffee the guard probably spit in so I dumped it) the entire time I was being held.

I did not expect to be manacled (wrists & ankles chained together so I had to walk stooped over). Quite difficult to walk up 2 flights of stairs to the courtroom where thankfully my Bail judge criticized the need for them & ordered removed.

Judge ordered immediate release without bail, held 3 hrs before getting put out the door wearing only running shoes, pajama botoms, t-shirt in 3C weather. No phone no wallet.

Lots of fun. And it didn't end there.
