>inb4 "just buy a new upper"
I want to build an A1 looking rifle with a midlength handguard, but I'm having trouble sourcing a triangular in the right length.
Pic related, my upper as of now.

I know you can cut them down but I don't feel comfortable doing it myself and potentially fucking it up.
And no, I'm not stooping to /arg/ for this

If you are willing to go with wood and put out the cash for wood, blackgunswood will special order make a midlength triangular handguard.
>Midlength
>A1
Just dont, and you do realize that midlength is a civilian design

It doesn't matter, im not some tripfag willing to throw more than 600$ on a rifle I'll use once a month so I obviously took shortcuts.

So what? While I may not see why he wouldn't just get a nice 20" full length, there's nothing wrong with the idea of a 16" middy with triangular grips. Could be pretty aesthetic. Who cares if it's a civilian design and an anachronism, he's a civilian, and it's Current Year +2.
Well, aside from that nobody makes such grips as far as I know, which is the point of the thread.
triangular grips suck. The circular ones like in OP's picture are literally 1000x better.

a1 comes in full length and carbine length, other than that good fucking luck buddy
>>32904232
Are you fucking dumb? In what history did an a1 reciver not have a carry handle?
