Post your ebin german planes.

The Bf110 is one of the best looking aircraft of WWII in my opinion.
>>32890914
Basically an ambush predator.
The DH Mosquito , the UK equivalent, would really ruin the day of a Me110 crew.
>>32890914
potez 630 was cuter though
>Your filthy jewish physics don't apply to my engineering
Out-of-nowhere question here.
Of all the experimental planes being designed by Germany then, which one would have given them the biggest edge in the war?
>>32893180
I'm sorry, what the fuck, the Nazi's had fucking VTOLs? Jesus, German engineering is god-tier
Nachtjäger coming through.
>>32893381
>which one would have given them the biggest edge in the war?
More Bf-109s.
>>32893381
Probably the Dornier Do-335. Used a push-pull configuration, thing was fast as hell. Plus it's incredibly aesthetic
>>32893438
>Nazi
its post war
>>32893149
>>32893158
Does anyone have any photos of late-mark Bf-109s of this quality?
>>32893528
O shit my bad
>>32893438
That's a Do 31, a magnificent work of art that never got it's chance to shine.
>>32893643
Why didn't that design get utilized? It seems better than the Osprey
>>32893678
Why does it seem better than the osprey to you? Way more components that could potentially fail, more dead weight, more drag.
It was certainly something magnificent for the time but it can't compete with modern tilt rotor planes
>>32893678
Development was very expensive, partially because computer technology was barely up to the task of controlling the aircraft while hovering, and it was deemed unnecessary to have a VTOL transport.
>>32893438
It's Bundeswehr Luftwaffe, not Wehrmacht Luftwaffe. The first V/STOL plane in the world.

>>32893678
dude lift engines lmao
thats why
>>32893700
From all I've heard of the Osprey, it's a pos that's hard to fly and easily crashes. Although to be fair I heard all that from the MSM
>>32893678
It had additional jet engines to lift it up, sure it was able to hover in circles and other fancy shit, but it consumed tons of fuel and needed even more maintenance
>>32893700
Much faster and actually had slightly longer range.
Both of said aspects could certainly be further improved today. The production version was also supposedly not going to have the outboard lift nacelles.
the original 190 was such a qt
>>32893723
Neat video, thanks for the link
>No glorious Focke-Wulf 190
I am disappoint
>>32893898
>>32893898
two posts above you
>>32893950
But that's a derpy one
>>32894071
no it was sexy
>>32894148
I really don't like the big nose cone/propeller cowl/whatever you want to call it
>>32894192
ducted spinner
it was dropped pretty quickly
HE 100 pretty good plane eh
>>32894205
What was the point of it/intended purpose? Aerodynamics?
>>32894348
yes, lower drag
BMW told focke wulf that it wasnt worth the trouble but they tried it anyway. Had cooling issues and reverted to a normal naca cowling.
>>32894321
one of the best looking prop fighters of all time
>>32894410
I maintain that Do 335 is best prop plane
More evidence
WRONG
>>32893381
Most of what killed them was hard-headed bureaucrats dictating what was built. The 110 was used as a fighter despite being too heavy. Hitler insisted on the Me262 being a bomber.
The Bf109 being bulked up until it became a flying brick. -etc.
>>32893608
>>32894850
>The 110 was used as a fighter despite being too heavy.
common idea in the 30s
worked very well as a night fighter
>Hitler insisted on the Me262 being a bomber.
wrong. it was messerschmitt who proposed fitting it with bomb racks and it had near zero impact on when the 262 entered service
