So I was trying to sight in my Pursuit X1 tactical scope from Bass pro and was having trouble sighting it in. It's on my PSA freedom kit on an Anderson lower. I was shooting 55 grain Tulammo. Is it the scope, gun, ammo, or me?
100 yards

All of the above.

Easiest way to check if it's you is to let someone better than you try some groups. Alternatively, borrow or buy a shooting rest. Which position were you shooting from?
In my 19 years of shooting experience, I have never, EVER, pulled any tactical elitism or criticized people's equipment but

>tactical elitism
But his rifle is bone stock except for the gay dust cover and the stainless barrel. Is there some tacticool I'm missing here?

It was from a bench with a lead sled, the smallest mag I had was a 20 round pmag that was contacting the base and moving around

Fucking pleb
This was at 20-25 yards

What kind of twist your barrel have? 55 gr stabilize better with higher twist rate such as 1:9. If it's 1:7 try some 62 grains. That looks like a cheapo scope, that'd be my best guess. Make sure everything is tight and there's no play in the optic, or the mounts
>>32887641
You have absolutely no idea how scopes work.
>>32887649
I was making sure it was semi on so I didnt shoot over the hill when I got it out to 100
>>32887644
It is a 1:7 but Walmart didn't have any 62s and I wasn't going to pay $10 a box at the Mom and pop shop
>>32887526
10/10 OP
>>32887649
The group is fine, he's obviously adjusting his elevation. It's quite a bit different than COD where optics are on point and there's no bullet drop kiddo
>>32887666
Try some 62s Satan. 1:7 is made for 62. Pay the little bit extra to see if it tightens your group up any
>>32887629
Have you shot with a rest before to good effect? When I first got mine, my groups were garbage compared to prone off the bipod. I figured out what I was doing wrong and the groups tightened, but for some reason I still group better off a sandbag than from the rest.
If the mag was in the way, you should have taken it out and fed it manually.
Anyway, barring your technique (are all your fundamentals squared away?), the other things to look for are correct bullet weight for your barrel twist rate, wobbly stock, tight mounts, etc. And if all that shit is fine, try different ammo and see if it makes any difference.
it seems good enough your huge ass group is centered in the middle. you dont shoot for accuracy with fuckin tula.

I'm sorry that I'm a poor college student that finds it hard to pay $3.50 more a box even though I like small businesses
>>32887644
>higher twist rate such as 1:9
Technically it's a lower twist rate...
>>32887689
The stock is pretty wobbly but it's stock mil spec so I expect that. I've picked up Perfecta and American eagle 55 grain to try that before searching out heavier bullets. Not going to lie, I might have been flinching a bit
Do you have a rear iron sight? I would rather have a usmc rear and decent ammo...
>>32887710
Don't apologise to me apologise to your rifle for making it shoot bad groups
>>32887711
True you know what I mean higher number heh
I hate this place more every day.

So I was trying to warm up 150mph in my used stock 1995 Honda Civic at Nurburgring and was having trouble finishing the race. It's has a 100hp 2 stroke engine, manual steering and braking. I was using Russian homebrewed #60 vodka. Is it the the car, fuel, or me?
Pic is me.
>>32887881
That rifle should be grouping tighter than that. It's hardly a match grade setup, but OP's group is worse than SKS-tier.
>>32887673
Nigger please
>>32887673
That group is fine at 10-20 yards and his group is HORRIFIC at 100 yards so it's obviously the shooter not the equipment....
>>32887526
This post reads like an 8th grade math problem

F a m
I'm a complete idiot and I can zero a scope on my AR in maybe 5 shots or so, it's not rocket science.
